Looks good for your first grow but you might want to straighten out those wires and find another box to grow in..that's a fire waitin to happen. One thing goes wrong when no one is home and that cardboard will be up in flames. I don't think insurance covers house fires caused by grow operations...

6500k just has more of the blue spectrum, which is more ideal for the vegetative stage. I usually throw a few 5700k's in there though and it seems to help

18000k is the purple part of the light spectrum, you probably want to stay more towards the blue, around 6500k which is what your daylight cfl's are most likely burning. Save the power and just run two or three of the daylight cfl's, like what malady said, and when they start getting bigger pop...

put them straight into your system..work them down into the hydroton grow rocks (or whatever you are using), cover the top of the rock wool in them as well. good luck.
