hard to say from only a pic but I would say at least 2 to 3 more weeks as the hairs are still white but yet the bud looks very plump.

So if your trichromes are mostly clear then you most certainly have to wait until most are milky..... and the buds should fatten up a bit more and devolop some red hairs

Is it safe to lower the lights still, I don't want to burn them. They are about 8" from bulb with fan circulating and 1 venting from top. Can I continue the light nutes? They seem to take water daily. (1.5 gallon pot)

High, don't know how pertinent the info I typed was so I edited my reply, as your in flowering stage not veg, apologize for my jumping the gun. I've not flowered yet, and I'm sure judging by your pics you've managed the heat ok so far, I feel somewhat rhetorical to type the general thumb rule of using your hand ect.

Looks like a decent first grow, nice job. What wattage HPS are you using btw?

generally speaking, many will stop using nutes for the last 2 weeks, but this is subject of much debate

what lights are you using?

so is that 10 weeks from flip date or signs of flower?? usually it takes 7-10 days after flipping into flower for them to show signs of flower.. that is the start of flower time not the date of flip.. just fyi... but they look good.. in my opinion i would keep up with the sugars and stop any kinda nutes the last week in hydro or the last 2 weeks in soil.. the sugars will keep the alive and happy until the chop date... looks like a sativa dominate.. so i would say 3 weeks left.. last week or two give her just water and molasses the last week and total darkness the last 3-4 days.. you will see crystals out the ass.. also looks like c99 almost. check out the seed banks for C99 or brothers grimm.. gnarley lookin plant..

Missing some info, like the lights and medium you are using, but it does seem to need 2-3 more weeks.

I mostly agree with Bass, but I would be careful giving it 3-4 days of darkness, I personally do not buy into it helping and if you have high humidity you run the risk of getting moldy buds.

Great job on your first grow, you are almost there now don't screw up by harvesting too early or during the cure and dry. Some might say these are the hardest parts. Not because they are technically difficult, but it is so easy to get impatient at this point :)

400 HPS, 12/12 in an outdoor closet. The leaves are getting dry, the hairs are brown, but don't see red, only "tan". The buds are fat and moist. It hard to know the clear/cloudy tri's, as I've never seen them, but under the scope, I see a few nice red hairs, bur only a few. I don't want to wait too long.....

Clear Trichromes have little to no THC within them, milky thrichs are in the process of building THC and Amber Trichs have stopped and are deteriorating, Keep in mind that the trichromes will still be producing even after harvesting for a short time while any energy left in the plant is dissipated throughout. It is for this reason there are a lot of preferred Harvesting and drying techniques. I've always been told to allow 20% of the trichromes to turn amber to ensure the majority are milky all thoughout the buds. Remember Trichromes aren't just on the outside, and what you can see is probably less than half of the overall results, in my opinion. Looking nice though man but as said above harvesting early can reduce the flavours and yield quite drastically too sometimes. when you do harvest allow sufficient time to dry properly and then to cure properly as this can cause your weed to have a grassy taste too.

I am in a high humidity climate, but a fan constant on her. It's been a blast, can't wait to wrap it up, but definitely don't want to get impatient. Worried about mold, was planning on drying and curing indoors.

It will be 10 weeks from flip date tomorrow, it did take about 10 days to start to see flowers. Thanks for all your advise?

Trichromes look like tiny mushrooms man, usually clear long stems, looks a little like glass, the bulb or droplet looking thing on the top of the stems is what you need to be looking at man you'll know if they are clear, milky or amber/red. The hairs could stay white or turn golden or even red or brown it depends on the strain or the Phenotype, the trichs are one of the best indicators of when to harvest that I know of man.

I'm using soil, Miracle Grow Jungle Blend, it took a while to figure out nutes and understand proper PH, but when I did, things picked up and she got on track nicely.

I am also in a high humidity area, there is a section on drying and curing here, you should spend a little time reading some of the stickies there, great info.

I tried to keep as much as the plant in tact as possible and hang them stem and all for about a week (removing only the fan leaves and lightly trimming the sugar leaves) after they got crispy on the outside, but there was still some moisture in the stem (it cracked a little but did not snap) I cut them down further, removed the popcorn bud and placed them in brown paper bags with a single layer each, rotating a couple times a day and monitoring the RH. Once the RH in the bags got to around 65%, I put them in sealed mason jars with the Boveda 62% humidipaks and store in a cool dry place.

I can see the "mushroom" trich's. but only a few. So I can assume I need to wait until I see more. I guess she'll continue to fatten up a bit more as well.

Can you tell me more about the humidipaks? First time hearing of those, where can I get them, what do they do? Thanks for your time.....

They also have humidity packs that come with them, and are designed for Cannabis. make sure you dry them correctly first though man. :D
