Ok then, your good, just keep it like that. Oh and FYI, your gonna wanna use the 6500K for veg, and the 2700K for flower.
exactly
6500k=VEG
2700k=Flower
what will help you alot more will be adding more watts in their... try having more of the veg and a some of the flower lighting for veg and vice versa for flowering..

I'm growing 1 plant and have 189 watts on it now. 1 big 105 watt on the top and more for side lighting. It all depends on the plant. Add more if you think it's needed. As everyone has already stated, more light is better.

Its not about more light, its about using more lumens.
I've seen someone rocking a 250W getting more yield than I was getting with my 400W. Not only more yield - more everything.

More light = more heat. You should find your balance.

lol, Those both kinda go hand in hand iwth eachother there bro..... lol

No offense meant by this at all!.. Seriously, I'm not trying to dog on you. But that's kinda sad man..... Was this like, before you knew what you were doing considering growing?..
Because in all honesty... I think that if the best grower in the world went up against me, and we were using all of the EXACT same things, same environment, heat, nutes, water, strain, ect. Same EVERYTHING except he was using a 250w light, and I was using a 400w light. I feel very VERY confident that I would 'out grow' (for lack of a better phrase) him/her strictly because I have more light/lumens...

Correct. more lumens= yummyer buds.. try to get the most lumens in your growing space...

They don't have to.
Place a 1000HPS 40" away from the canopy and a 150HPS 2" away from the canopy and you'll have more effective lumens (not actually lumens but candlelights) with the 150HPS, and you will outgrow the 1000W.

We didn't run in the same enviroment at all.
I rock at around 0.8-0.88 gram per watt (which from what I recall is pretty decent) and he got OVER 2.0 gram per watt.
No doubt he knows his shit better and got a much better system.

Light is a big issue but far from the only issue.

I outgrew a lot of 600 and 800 watters with a single 400W both yield wise and quality wise.
Also I've seen journals with less light than I rock which put my grow to shame.

And use your lumens wisely.

I'm sorry, bro..... And again, this is not at all me being a dick. But I just don't believe you man..... OVER 2 grams per watt??? Right.... You got pix to prove that? And maybe some specs on his setup?... But your right, .88 grams per watt is damn good!... 2 grams per watt is virtually impossible, I've never heard of it being done..... Unless your jesus... haha

EDIT: And I'm sorry..... But if your keeping a 1k at 40", your a retard and shouldn't be growing..... Just saying..... NO light should be kept that far from the plants unless it's the SUN.

What is impossible for you might not be impossible for others.

He rolls some very nice numbers. usually around 1.2-1.4 gram per watt. When he used 250W HPS. Now he went LED and I stopped following.

a 1K at 40" is pretty normal for young plants.
Incandescent lights are kept at that distance. So does halogens.
