So i have some beans coming, was wondering if it's better to grow regular seeds from 12/12 from start to finish? Any benefits? any cons?

There is a reason for a plants "life cycle" its like having a baby and tryin to feed them a roast dinner it aint gonna work

*Common sence* maybe needed here!

not quite thats alot different, research i have seen says a plant must grow to maturity before entering the flowering faze so this 12/12 from seed is possible, futher information shows that root systems are more active at night so like they say bigger roots bigger plants, i could be completely wrong as i have never done this personally myself

I love it,though it's not for everyone.
It's quick,yield suffers for that but I like variety & that's who
I grow for.lol Some strains you are done in 60 days some less.
Try it you might like it if you don't it won't take ya long to
find out. Lights don't burn as long at the time so bulbs last longer not
to mention power bill.GL!

This guy^^^^, are you serious? Ppl go 12/12 from seed everyday of the week on here! Even a thread called the 12/12 from seed thread which happens to be right on this very site lol. Just dnt feed them that roast dinner until they get past the stretch. Plants go through a seedling/veg stage regardless if put into flower anyway. So give it a whirl. Usually not practical but I currently ran into some issues with mother plants and am doing a run 12/12 fs. Peace

If youre not worried about how much you'll harvest, then go 12/12fs. To me it just seems like a way for someone who has no patience to grow.
Why waste the time and effort to get a qtr O a plant. llol

12/12 from seed is possible.. Through it wasn't for me.. I got average height was 12-15 inches tall and only got a half ounce out if it per plant.. I'd rather veg for a month or so, then flower and get a couple ounces..

Or go vertical scrog veg for months and fill that screen up!!! I'm working on it now. Can't wait to see end results.

That may be true if you're growing 'recreationally' with a couple of potted plants. But when you have 120 hydro sites in an 15'x5' setup, going 12/12 from day one is the only way to go because otherwise you end up dealing with overcrowding and some of the plants will not make it and (if you're lucky) you end up with roughly the same yield in double the time. It's not about patience but about optimizing your grow to produce best results.

p.s. a 1/4oz a plant? Seriously? Do you use urine for nutes?

Wow that would be nice...

I have grown 3 12/12 fs plants, not one was under 1.5 oz dry. 2 big Buds and a NL. I don't grow like that regularly, but it works just fine. If you are vegging till you see preflowers and aren't training heavily you might as well do 12/12fs, that's my opinion on the matter. I don't even think this guys tried it.

Im going by what I see people post in threads.
My nutes seem to work fine.
Just went back and checked other thread.. My bad, I was thinking of the party cup thread.

Did someone say party cups 12/12 from seed?????:eyesmoke:

12/12 from seed is a good way to sex plants, breed for seeds, have a faster harvest.....or if you have a shitload of brickweed seeds....lol
My tips for a 12/12 from seed grower is to use at least a 3g container for maximum yields and don't transplant.Seed to weed in the same container:)

Hey bi66er, bout time you showed up. Your grow is the exception bro.
For someone doing cfl's and 12/12 from seed you got it rocking.. Would love to see how you'd do with hid's and veg time. Swould be a hell of a show

12-12 fs works for me. I run a perpetual, so I harvest different strains every month.
Like someone mentioned earlier, its nice for variety, plus it stops me from smoking all of my bud too quickly. When I used to put all my plants in at the same time, I would go wild and smoke all that pot and not get my work done haha. Its nice to get more frequent smaller harvest, maybe you have better self control in the presence of a few OZ's haha but not me. Its also nice to see the plants in different stages of growth, I think that makes me check on everyone a little more closely.

Oh yeah BIG DIACLAIMER: you will not be smoking pot from a seed you planted in 60 days. At least not in my experience. Earliest finisher I ever had was done in 82 days and that was an auto (yes I grew an auto 12-12 sue me). You're looking at 100-120 days from seed to smoke. At least in my experience. Good luck

Oh yeah, thanks ActionHanks!!:)That's the main reason for 12/12 from seed.....its the easiest way to keep a perpetual grow, with harvest every week if you germ every week.

I have read, from at least 3 different people on this forum and a couple on others, of getting around .5-.7 per watt using 12/12 fs consistently.

Many laughs at anyone who dismisses it. Try coco?
