12/12 fs Questions

When you grow this way do you take the breeders flowering time from when the seed sprouts or from when she starts flowering?

I guess when she starts flowering. I wish there were a more definitive how to grow 12-12 from seed, step by step online.

Growing 12x12 from seed gives very little time for the plant to grow at all, I recommend that you give the plant at least 2 weeks veg at 18/6, just to grow some volume, then to 12x12 for 2 months, after all you are doing this for yield no...?
...go 12x12 from when she starts flowering

Thanks...you guys have just motavated me to keep a journal.I read a thread on here ages ago on 12/12 fs and the guy was averaging 2 zips per plant.Dont think Ill pull that but it will be interesting to compare yields to the ones Ive topped and trained!(same strains of course!)
One thing I have noticed though, the 12/12fs girls have just started flowering properly, while the one I trained,I mlined for 8,is now ready to flower,so really with the plants vegging a certain amount of time anyway Im sure the mlined girl will yield way more.Maybe not, soon find out though!

I am interested in your journal of a 12/12 grow. I would like to find out more on how to master this method of growing. I think a vegging period defeats the purpose of 12/12. I also won't be concerned about yields with 12/12, if I was, I wouldnt grow this way. I do think it would be a nice way to grow out more strains in less space.

Cannabis flowering on 12x12, .. if the plant has never been on 12x12 before then its hormone that triggers flowering is undeveloped, getting that hormone to develop say on 18/6, once developed then flipped to 12x12, the developed or semi developed hormone can now judge the distance of time between the 18/6 and the 12x12 light schedules, the hormone or plant will and can tell the difference between 6 hours light and/or the 6 hours of darkness and respond appropriately ..
in other words the plant will think winters coming cause its had a bit of fall or early winter, then grow to seedset.

Bullshit.Ok ok maybe not bullshit, but you can grow nice plants with a couple of zips per yield growing 12/12,Ive seen it done. And look at the pics Ive posted, theres nothing wrong with those girls. Also,I think for any newbie its a good place to start,as theres no topping/fimming/lsting involved.Ill take some pics and put them up later. For now, anyone whos interested can look up del666's thread on 12/@2 fs.Have a look at his ladies then tell me you cant grow 12/12fs!

flowering starts from the first night of 12/12 or when dark periods are long enough per genetics..when mature.. a 12/12 from seed will take 2-3 weeks to mature and flower. and isn't the same at all as flowering a clone immediately..... I also avg 2ozs per plant off sativas, gotta be high yielding strains, maybe not certain indicas. but very doable

12/12 FS will produce nice yields without any veg period. It just depends on what you are after. If you are looking to produce as much bud as possible then of course have a veg period. If you are just growing for personal consumption ( with enough left over to bestow upon some friends and family members ) then by all means grow 12/12 FS and save yourself some time and electric bills. Depending on your growing space, you can be harvesting one plant approximately every 20 days by growing 12/12 FS perpetually. Not to mention the fact your plants will show their sex on approximately DAY 24 which saves you enormous frustration is you have a male. Nothing worse than vegging a plant for 2 months only to find out it's a male....ugh.

Lol.....again there is some misinformation regarding when flowering starts.

When growing 12/12fs a plant starts flowerng.....duh,when she start to put out flowers...ie pistils.A mature(4 weeks veg or longer)plant can show pistils and not be in flower mode, just means shes mature and ready to begin flower 12/12.You can tell a plant is mature when it starts to alternate nodes, instead of having two nodes/leaves opposite each other on the branch they start to alternate.

Bottom line the plant will NOT flower earlier than when its mature. 12/2 is. Lazy method it irks but not much different and stress the plant. It not natural at all nd believe it or not thebonly knows. If it thinks its gonna di it will hermi. May as well let it mature imo.

Well, obviously BALLINONABUDGET never grew 12/12 FS so obviously he doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about. Just check out any 12/12 from seed thread, not only it is an accepted way to grow, it is not a stress on the plant nor is it abnormal. The only abnormal thing here is ballins talking about something he knows nothing about.
