As someone who's just started obviously I claim no expertise, just a begginer's point of view which is quite fresh.
I fucked around with bagseed for a few months and I've done shit all. That's cause I'd done no homework in advance. When I decided to properly grow something I also saw the neet tents, ready supplied with lights and all, but kinda get's the pleasure out of the whole process. Also, the way I see it, by doing things yourself you're also learning and can improve em.
So I went down the shop, bought me some hardware for the skeleton, black and white sheet and mylar, total cost next to nothing compared to the finished product. Also bought some buckets to make a DIY DWC setup just for the hell of it.
Now, I don't know if it'll work, but I'll have something to play with and experiment. The only real cash will be spent on lights and filter which are obviously reusable so no waste part for $150 or so if the whole system fails, which it wont, at least not totally.
Morale of the story (imo always): Read, experiment with cheap diy solutions, discuss em (online preferably with the secured anonimity or with people you really really really trust) and then give it another go. Playing with bagseed makes things even cheeper

I use fox farm grow big in veg and that's it, I absolutely love it.. Been using if for about 10 years and never had any problems with it. Now in bloom I use Advanced nutrient sensi bloom A and B, Fox farm grow big, big bud, bud candy and calmag. But I don't usually introduce flowering food until the 3rd-4th week after switch my lights to 12/12. I also add lime to my promix and soil so i never have to worry about ph. I usually get between 1.5-2 z's per plant. And yes cut my veg time waaaaay down. I am loving this mycos, I'm gonna stick with the xtreme gardenings version instead of the mycos madness cause I like the results better and it's waaaaay cheaper
word, Im def gonna try the mycos. How tall r your ladies when u switch to 12/12? And how long are you flowering for? 2oz a plant is not bad at all. Im assuming 3 gal pots? Im takin notes brotha, Good look haha

My veg time went from almost 3 weeks to about 10 days, then I do 24 hours straight darkness and then 12/12. I have 3 houses going now and in each (flowering) room I run 3000 watts of hps with parabolic reflectors, I use light mover for my vegg rooms because I have found that the vegg at the same rate, no stretching and saves money on electric. I would have to say the biggest pain in the arse is harvesting, takes me like 3-4 days to trim all of them, then its right back at it again lol. But I love my job and wouldn't change it for the world. I learn new stuff everyday (even know Ive been doing it for around 10 years) and the shit just interests me... I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT lolol I have also taken on helping other people set up new grow which is becoming very interesting hehe, the more you grow the more you know

Hey guys I got all this cash I made from sellin' crack and meth. Do you think if I throw 5k into a system that I can put in my 3ft.X4ft. closet I can get 128lbs.? Do you think it will get hot in there with 3000 watts? I plan on pluggin' in all the lights, spashin' some water on em', go on vacation for a couple of months, come back home, harvest all my weed, sell it and donate the proceeds to Barack Obama's campaign. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! Try using multiple lights and areas to have continual harvests.... thats probably your best bet.
For example
Area 1: Seedlings
Area 2: Vegging
Area 3: Flowering
Put new seedlings in about every 2 to 3 weeks and rotate the rest of the plants as you move more in and take some out of the flowering area as they finish. You kind of get what i am saying right? Thats how I do it and i always have a 1.5 lb harvest every month. you could get more with more lights and more plants. I only grow to smoke.

ya i know people that do 200 plants outdoors that get about 100 -170 pounds ... and theres no way u could grow big enough plants in that tent in an 8 x 8 to get that much........ no way with 2 1000s .. good growers can get up to 1 g a watt.. so 2000 watts like 5 lbs max .. and that would have to be an 8 x 8 scrog completly full of buds.. of high dense and large yeilding plants..

Why are people so hooked on how much weed you can get in one harvest every 6-7 weeks maybe 4 if youre good and organized? With perpetual, I get about 3.2-3.5 pounds every 2 weeks 
. Ive tried smoking a pound in 2 weeks just to see if I could haha....not possible lol. after my 11th bowl and god knows how many joints, id just pass out. always 11 bowls though....

I priced out equipment for an 8 light setup with all the exhaust, nutes, soil, smartpots and etc for 1000 watt lights that would be an appropriate setup cost for a room (not a closet of close to 4600 without rent) and there are too many factors to start counting your wallet size right now. If you train your plants right and get them to an appropriate height, you can pull a descent yield, but don't expect to get 128 pounds lol $3-400,000 off of one crop. How many plants are you trying to flower and how much do you REALISTICALLY think you can pull off of each plant?
