1KW Blue Planet Nutrient 4X4 tent grow!

image.jpgCut the girls down yesterday... Temps are at 68 degrees with RH at 50%. I'm going to slow dry these for what i expect to be 10 days. It might be a little more or possibly a little less, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Buds dried quicker than expected... I've already trimmed 10 of 13 plants with a weight of 12 ounces. One of the plants only produced about 7 grams, so with that average, I should hit my 450 gram mark easily! Buds are crystallly golf ball sized nuggets that real of dankness! I didn't trim them that tight though, but they still look the fucking business! I'll post some pics later today with the final weight. I hoping I hit 500 grams...

Thanks a ton Raiderman!! The final count is 512 grams, fully dried and jarred! I have a ton of trim for hash and canna butter as well. Definitely stoked that I hit over a pound, 1 pound 2 ounces and 8 grams, to be exact. A little over a half gram per watt... I'll take it.

It's smokes pretty smooth, pretty heady high... I set aside an ounce for a 1 month cure 3 month cure and 6 month cure. Looking forward to seeing how it matures. Attached is a pic. Basically 50% of the nugs are between 3 and 4 grams, 40% are around 1 and 2 grams and the rest are a bit over 4 grams or a bit below 1 gram.

Thanks brotha! I passed out a little earlier than normal last night testing the product. Lol. Just a slight bit of harshness, real slight. In a couple weeks though i'll find out how it really smokes.

Second round is about to get flipped. I just picked them up from my buddy's, where they've been vegging for about 4 weeks. I've got 9 healthy Blue Dream plants in 5 gallon buckets that are itching to start budding. I clipped and cloned these girls, potted them, topped them and used the best possible soil combination I could get my hands on... There is no excuse for any mishaps along the road on this grow! I'm looking to pull 650 grams on this run. The only issue that I might have is with possible excessive heat in April, but I'm going to run Co2, so I'm not so worried. I scrubbed the tent and treated it with an organic PM spray as an added precaution. They are going dark for 24 hours before the lights go back on. I'm stoked as hell right now to get this run into flower!

I decided not to go dark and flipped them tonight. Lights are 3 feet above the canopy at 1000 watts. I'll lower them to 24" in the next couple days. Temps are 76f and RH is at 50%.

I bought an 8" booster fan today to help bring in more fresh air and cool the tent when the reps start to rise. I daisy chained it with the existing 6" one using duct reducers. I used felt tape to line the inside of the reducers for sound dampening. A great side benefit was that it made the connections a near air tight fit. Stoked that the felt tap worked so well. I've been doing quite a bit of research on Compost Teas recently and I was considering a DIY AACT system. I went to the hydro store today to pick up a few things and saw a Vermarop T fridge and had a wtf spur of the moment and bought a 1/2 gallon pouch. $11 is kind of expensive, but not horribly and if it works well, I'll add it to my regiment. The label says dilute to 50:1, but the grow store said that you can add it straight without any dilution at all. From what I've read, it seems that the more the better and you can't over feed with compost tea. I'm going to go with 4:1, call me crazy, but their ingredients are the same as several recipes I've found and unless they have some secret ingredient that makes their shit 20 times stronger than other AACT's, I should be fine.

I did a baking soda and soap spray this morning, right before the lights went out. I need to get another fan inside the tent... I don't want to have to deal with any PM issues this time around, it's pretty tightly packed there and circulation might become an issue as they continue to grow/stretch the next 3 or so weeks of flower. I noticed some copper discoloration on a few fan leaves, a couple twisted smaller leaves and a couple burnt tips. I believe it's a boron defficiency. I let the girls dry out a little too much after bringing them home, which might have caused this to occur. I'm not too concerned, they look super healthy otherwise and as long as I keep vigilant and monitor them closely, it won't have a chance to get out of control. My backup plan(s) are ready to attack the problem.

I've got a much needed day off tomorrow... I just started a new show and load ins been pretty easy so far, but the days are still long. Sitting in front of my tent and smoking... Actually vaping with my air riser solo. I was sick a while back and splurged on the little gadget to get me through and I gotta say, it's a nice change from the tried and true bong, the ole love of my life. I feel like I'm cheating. Lol. That plus a six pack of beer and my nights been perfect!

Plants look beautiful, but more leaves have developed copperish spotting. After a bit of research I believe I found out the culprit, I hope. The girls came with a few gnats, or larvae which became gnats. Apparently gnats(fungus) feed on the root system and can severely damage the plants health and damaged leaves in this manner can be a tale tale sign. I put down little yellow BASF strips and applied Gnatrol 2 days back and I'll apply another round of Gnatrol tomorrow. I don't have a serious gnat issue, at all. I was surprised though to see how many gnats I've found on the strips. I see one or two at a time normally and that's about it... There's at least 10-15 dead gnats on each strip. Not an infestation by all means, but fuck, It was kind of a surprise to see that many.

A few picks... They we're taken 2 days back.

I'm glad you're still around Raiderman! I've got high hopes for this grow and so far it hasn't disappointed. I'm glad I went with soil, it's just easier to maintain with my work schedule. I've been dropping by your thread as well here and there and it never disappoints!

For the rest of you voyeurs, I hope you drop by Raidermans thread, his grows are ridiculous!

I just picked up a Max Fan 6 today and I'm going to reconfigure my intake and exhaust setup. Currently I have an Active Air pulling through my scrubber and pushing air through my air cooled reflector. I use duct fan to pull fresh air into the tent from the window. I think I'm going to attached the Max Fan to one end of the reflector and pull air directly from the window and exhausting as usual. Then re route the exhaust from the Active Air fan and scrubber combo to another port. Not a big change, but I can now start utilizing my Co2 more efficiently without suffering heat surges. I'm going to set my scrubber on a timer in conjunction with my Co2. When the Co2 runs, the scrubber will shut off while my Max Can continuously cools during "light" hours maintaining a "sealed" environment. My girls are looking stellar, looking forward to watching this grow progress! Maybe a week longer before they start to bloom...
