1st Grow - DWC Autoflowers using only neoprene collars in net pots for sprouting

Hello, after about a decade of toking I'm now finally growing. I got a bunch of autoflowers to start with because I'm impatient and like the idea of them, purchased a 6 bucket Bubble Brothers kit (w/ hydroton, airstones, tubing, air pump, etc...) and a humidity dome. Still working on the 4 x 4 tent with 800w Bestva LED though.

First I used paper towel to germinate the seeds in sealed plastic bags, but only had the paper towel on one side of the seed (the top) so the root could easily grow downward and away from the towel. I left them untouched for nearly 3 days in a drawer before coming to this.

I then placed the seedlings in neoprene collars carefully before fitting them into 2in net pots.

To balance the 2in net pots in the humidity dome (which has about up to an inch of Aquafina water in the bottom of it, still working on my RO system) I placed them into 3in net pots with a little bit of hydroton just to balance it - I have no belief that the hydroton is needed at this time for anything besides balancing, due to the immense humidity and regular misting the medium is useless besides raising the tap root out of the water pool.

Now here are my current results, this is only about 8 hours after first putting them in the humidity dome.

The strains are Kush Auto (by Seedsman // blue collar) and Girl Scout Crack (by Seedsman // red collar). They both started germinating Friday night. I'll hopefully keep you guys updated as it goes, wish me luck on this first grow! I'll be throwing 2 more seeds into germ soon so I can have 4 plants in my 4 x 4 for the first run.

I spent a lot of time and research coming up with a method that would work with my desires, so far its looking promising so I wanted to come here and share this method with other newbies/future growers who'll try this.

(I highly recommend trying the 1 paper towel on the topside of the seed germination technique!)
