1st Time Grower Grow - Sour Diesel

Topped her this AM. Does it look okay?

How much longer should I veg before flipping the switch? Should I do any defoliating or anything?

How much height do you have? I'm doing a sour diesel run right now too and from what I've read its supposed to grow to 3x the current size in the first few weeks of flowering so go with what you think you can handle

3 times the current size? That's more than I was expecting, maybe ill flip the switch sooner than I anticipated. The plant is approximately 1 foot right now but the underside is extremely bushy. Maybe I should lst more before flipping?

i think you can still lst while in the first few weeks of flowering because it should go toward the light while still growing but not as much after it starts producing real flowers

I did some LST and some defoliating (removed the small lower left leaf and some others) and re-adjusted the light. See how she does but I think flower switch will be next Friday.

this is mine, im manifolding it but probably also flowering in another week or two

Stick with me here in this thread @halfbreed421 we can compare as we go. I'm starting flower on 10/9.

I'm waiting for two slower growers in the back to get to where they need to be and they'll probably only end up wiht 8 colas while these front 2 will have 16 because they grow so much faster. I also want to take some clones too before flower so I can keep whoever produces the best going

Three more days of 18/6 before I switch to flower. Picking up flower nutes this weekend.

My recommendation? Trim her up from the bottom. Lollipop if you may. And veg 5-7 more days. Then flip. You won't be sorry.

I did just that haha. I'd rather go a bit longer to have a better yield. I can already see there are clearly 6 bud sites. Flower starts next week instead

If you could hold off I would say wait about 20 more days you need way more bud sites

I had a plant a month old I was ready to flower I waited like 2 more weeks because I ran into a deficiency but it was well worth it the plant got so much bigger

Looking good. I like the tomato trellis idea. I don't think my plant will be big enough to warrant a whole scrog net.

i got the idea from other scrogs, this way i can move it around and check everything out without working through a net. They were only $12 for 5 on amazon
