Apache 600 way to go for 4x4.
I think Apache is the way to go for led.
A lot of people seem to get the at120s for some reason when you can throw another 100 dollars for the at200 almost twice as powerful. The rbk331 discount takes off alot more on the at200 then the at120.

My grow is super delayed greengenes.
Saving up to rent a place to start my real grow.
I'm just going to grow one plant under a at200 of blue dream and see how big she gets.

At200? I've only seen the at120 on their site. What could I buy from apache that would be equivalent to 600w hid in a 4x4x7?

Ok thanks for link. If the at600 covers 4x4, that means the at200 will cover 2x2? For $1100? Uh....I'm starting to not like the pricing to go led pretty quickly.

LED upfront costs are a lot to get good LEDs. That being said they pay off in the long run, the bud quality is superior I don't care what people argue after this post and you can customize your spectrum more than hps/mh. HID lights are great so please don't bash me too hard HID lovers.

dude leds arent worth buying yet... the ones that compare to HIDS.. are very expensive.. but if u do get LEDS.. try to get the highest wattage per each bulb.. because the 1-3watt leds SUCK penetration wise.. i had a ufo 90 w.. in a 3x3 .. and the yield was horrible. i added 2 150w hps bulbs and it worked out nicely.. but when i upgraded to 1000w systems i sold my leds and shit to a friend.

but now.. id go Plasma over LEDS.

Preach it. I'm beginning to see the light more and more. LED's just aren't there yet. I'm probably just going to dim my lumatek down to 400 this summer and maybe supplement with LG or Vipar led

Not true in many cases. Quality die in a well designed package will own inefficient large die. That's just physics and if you don't believe me see what Illumitex does with 2 watt diodes or what a COB light can do. And OddJob LEDs are ready, you're just not. Sorry :(.

Nah man I have about 2k to smack down too lol. But I want to buy something that works as advertised.
what lights have you used other than hps? Everyone including me have great results with a51, inda gro, apache, and Hans. With inda gro I get better results than hid. Denser, larger, and more frosty buds. My a51 is vegging now. Will be flowering soon.

Just the typical T5 for veg and 600w HPS. Just seems like one can get a better deal going with Top Led Green Panels or Mars II. Did I read right? I just went back to the Apache Tech web site and they state they use 1 watt led's??

apache is able to drive them 100%. That's why they use 1watt leds and get great results. I think that's just on the AT120's. Top led is rebranded from LG lighting solutions. You can get as good results. As a51 and apache. The top led will use twice as many watts to cover same area. Not last as long

so between the black dog xl and apache tech at600 which one should I go with how loud are they and what is dimension of apache?
Apache Tech all the way!
The Black Dog may grow buds in the short term, but the way it's diodes are driven, it will burn itself out quickly.
Find member Greengenes707 in the LED forums, he is our resident Apache Tech expert.

Oddjob, if you want something that works as advertised, pull the trigger on an Apache, or wait it out for A51.
I have grown with HPS, T5, CFL, LED, and sunlight.
Out of all of those, if I could choose only one type of light to grow with, it would be LED, without a second thought.
I know it's unnerving to throw down a good chunk of cash like $2K and HOPE that you made the right choice.
I can tell you from first hand experience, Area 51 is the real deal.
Their lights do exactly what they claim to, if you don't believe me, ask this Cheeseberry plant that was grown under one.

When I bought my first LED lights, around 4 years ago, I spent well over $3K.
I still have them and they're still going strong.
Those lights only have 1W diodes, but look what can be done with those 1W diodes.
Apache has much better technology this.

As for the Top LED Mars II panels, I would stay away.
I know they seem tempting, but if you want something that works as advertised, they are not the way to go.
Drunk girls at last call seem tempting, too.
But drunk girls at last call, girls that you know you'll never see again, are always the ones that give you herpes.
Stay strong and hang in there for something better, you're worth it.
