my sativas are going longer than the indicas. only by a week and a half.
I'm about 2 weeks later than average here as well. Everything I know of is stretched as well for all my gardening friends. Maters were late even. Hope you kept a log of weather. Handy for future projects. Hope your day goes well. Only dropped to the 40's last night. But sun and 70 today.

I found these on one of my plants today. I definitely had some light problems a couple days this week with my neighbors that have a spotlight outside about 50 ft away. It doesn't shine directly on it but it definitely gives them some unneeded light at night. do I have a Hermie on my handsView attachment 4688982View attachment 4688983

So yes. Im seeing the same thing, my indicas and sativas seem to be about two weeks apart. Also, Im not too worried about the cold weather, I dont think its going to slow the growth much as it is going to swell the buds... Also, after watching the clip on super cropping, which I know it is way too late, I did do some lower branch trimming. What I got from the clip is its simple math. If you remove all the small popcorny type stuff on the bottom, you go from 150 energy point down to 100 energy points, (or so) not that I chopped a third off, but I did take down what some would be scrumptious nuggets if Id of let them go. Heres some pics of the bottom of my plants... This year I ended up with half of what I usually grow in my backyard. My best plants are only 6-7 1/2 feet, with a couple of 4 footers that should have been super cropped. Two I got from a friend that grew indoors, I think he gave me clones of some kind of Pink Grapefuit and something called Raspberry cough, no, sorry, i meant Sapphire Grapefruit, I think. So many names its easy to get lost.
Anywayz, heres some pics of what I trimmed and the lower parts, most of which were trimmed before, you can see how it made a difference in the tops. A big difference..... Last pic is what i trimmed off one plant this morning. The rest have been trimmed. With this frost, plus I fed them yesterday, then I trimmed, hope I dont put that plant into WTF mode...

Hows the rest of my peeps doing???DSCN1998.JPGDSCN1999.JPGDSCN2000.JPGDSCN2001.JPGDSCN1993.JPG

I did the same exact thing today. A few bouquets looking like that. Makes me wonder why I even do this
Why you trim? I think if your like me, a large part of growing is instinctual. If you trimmed it was for a reason..cooler weather= more dew. More air flow, more energy going to the tops.
Or why you grow? That's a question only you can answer. I believe that some of us are just bitten by the bug. And once a grower, always a grower. It's addictive, productive, and a lifestyle. Cannabis culture is a learning process, and places like this give us a social platform to chanel our thoughts and energies. And in the end, we all get the bonus, some good smoke to share, barter, gift and get us through the winter.
Just some thoughts.

I cut off my lower 40% or so a while back and then have trimmed up and defoliated the entire flower. The idea being 1)Airflow 2) extra light 3) get ALL the plant energy going to the bigger stuff and minimize popcorn.

I have a few buddies who grow, its fun to trade and compare especially if doing the same strains. It also doesn't hurt when friends or family go dry and I can hook them up with oz's for free cause I have more than I can smoke in years after a good harvest:D

GG4 (Josey Wales cut) the real deal.
Still have yellow pistils (just starting to brown) and buds need to put on allot more weight.
Plenty of tricomes. 8)
Maybe the cool weather and shorter days will help them along.

This comforts me a bit knowing my GG fem seeds from canuk seeds / msnl which Ive been skeptical of their authenticity for this whole grow, Looks identical to your legitimate cut, and we are almost exactly the same maturity level mine out not in a greenhouse though and I've got 4 separate ones going one pheno seems to be ahead of the other 3 by about 1.5 weeks or more, They've all got some great smells for sure though, one has a real chemically mouthful of chewed up glob of skittles super excited to try it out.

Do you have a local or private source for your GG cut or did you grab that from a certain seed bank or something? Always looking to add another reputable breeder to the supply list.

Cheers :joint: :leaf: :peace:
