Tough to see from the picture but I have the buds hanging on ratchet straps in an X formation. The fan is blowing fresh air from the bottom up to the top through the gap in the X’s and then another fan pushes that air towards the carbon filter
I got the machine really cheep online. Its a mini clothes washer. It was a few years ago, maybe 3, but it was about $60. Its pretty fun to have a few people over and do a hash run.
I leave a sizeable amount of cotton balls on my plants for testers, wink wink, and dry sift. Rough close trim on those. All the close sugar trim after curing. Dry. Push through a fine mesh kitchen type stainless steel mesh strainer with a silicone scraper or spatula. (Wood or plastic end up in your screenings. Avoid those). Don't ask. LOL. Pull stems and repeat 20 -50 times. Use a glass bowl to catch screenings. Now repeat with a finer mesh strainer. I put the powder in wax paper or plastic wrap lined tupperware cup. Place another paper or plastic over this and insert a matching cup. Press under 15 - 20#'s for a few days. Remove from mold and allow to air dry in dry warm location for another few days. Not hash. Damn good and satisfying attempt. Save that sugar and the trykes on your cleaning tubs. Good stuff.
look for an "rv washing machine" on Amazon, they should be about $80 ... i think bubble man has the same exact thing for $250, but it includes a 220 bag for in the machine, which I don't even use ... either one you get you should make one modification, replace the drain line with 3/4 OD vinyl tubing and add a cap or valve to release it ... most of them come with an accordion type hose and it's cheeseball, also catches lot of resin heads that should be in your bags
Damn I really need to get one of those. I do it the old fashioned way, 5 gal bucket with a wooden spoon. It's kind of a pain in the ass, no wonder I'm still sitting on trim from last year. Does the hose get clogged up at all with weed and ice cubes when you drain it?
Yeah the only problem with a drill is it usually beats up the trim a little too much and the hash gets contaminated with plant matter. I do pretty good hand making it, here's some I made awhile ago. Very close to full melt.
it doesn't get clogged all that often ... if it does I just blow into the vinyl tubing and it clears right up ... that one you posted looks very similar, almost identical, but mine didn't come w the little basket, just the washer ... i used to use a plaster mixing paddle on a drill and it worked fairly well, but the modified washer works best ... for ice I use mostly round whiskey highball ice cubes ... i use about two dozen with every run and they work well... the idea is to get the water as cold as possible with as little amount of ice as possible ... Frenchy Cannoli has honestly perfected this method of washing and almost everything I know has come from his tutorials ... nothing smokes like a full melt temple ball ... nothing
