2x4 grow tent ( HUMIDITY QUESTION)

Hello there , could anyone advise the dehumidifier that will work for 4 (5 gallon) pots , that stays in there by newbie mistake ... 2 such plants would be ideal....the thing is I’ve read some topics about humidity and realized more bags more humidity ... outside is 61-65% per day .. at night it gets close to 74-75 outside ... running ac helped me to get down 10-14% of my humidity ... im in week 3 of flowering so I’m trying get the right humidifier to not get bud rot or mold... would be appreciated those who deal with such small grow tent .. will the 150 sq fit will do smth , it’s like 40$ on Amazon... spent pretty much all already.... but I can’t get my buds
Die,no way... to much time and attention to waste it ... please let me know ...

comming up to 14 years of growing i have never once worried about humidity and i live in the tropics were in can be 80-90 % at times good air flow is all u need

Oh man, thanks for your reply didn’t expect to get the answer that fast , 80-90 looks like waaaaaay too much ... imo... I’ve spotted some mites after month or so of growing and than I’ve realized they’ve been almost everywhere ... so yeah... I’ve put 2 bigs air vents and two small ones... but when the lights went off .. humidity jumped from 64 to 78 and no good smell were coming ... that’s why I’m worried bout it... I’m just as well confused what’s “good” airflow looks like..

If you’re really worried just get a dehumidifier for the room and run it!
If you have good intake in the tent it should bring it down

Yeah, gonna have to agree. For a tent as small as 2*4, intake and exhaust are all that matter

I guess its a thing to do... I can’t even imagine myself after all of that time money and attention to just fuck it up ,don’t wanna go crazy thanks mate 8-)

I mean I do have both ... but none of that goes into or out of the street... hot air gets out on top of the tent , ac infinity always works highest speed , and trying to get it dry while my intake line are like 6-9 feet in front of the house ac.... and still confused ... I guess a dehumidifier is a way to go..but the question is if the small dehumidifier will get the job done around 4 plants x 5 gallon bags... that was a huge mistake ... two big one more than enough... but it is what it is... now gotta deal with that stuff ... can’t just throw them away .. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on Amazon that says it’s just waste of money ... won’t even get two tea spoons of a moisture so on...

Probably, but most likely no... it’s possible , but doesn’t seem reasonable.. the thing is temperature outside is 28+ , and humidity at least 61 during the day ... and 75 at night , and I’m running my leds on max to keep the moisture down... the temperature goes from 29-32 with humidity ~65... would it change anything you think ? Let me know

I tried a small dehumidifier from Amazon and did not remove any moisture. I had to buy a 30 pint DH and remove the moisture from the room the tent is in. like weoutthere says. Are you exhausting right into the room the tent is in? It's best to exhaust the hot humid air out of the house or at least to another room.

It’s just literally goes out in the same room ( closet ) but the air in were the ac is in the living room ... it’s seem kinda pain in the ass to let that hot air out of window , as there is couple reasons I can’t do that which is def sucks...

But do you think it’s gonna be less humidity if I’m tryna to get it to the outside or to the other room ? Let me know , thanks in advance !

It's best to get it completely out of the house but if you can't do that get it out of your tent room.

Is the air outside hot? It may be hot in the sun, but the air should be cooler than your house, unless you run ac.

I would run veg cycle from 6pm to 12 pm.
Flower from 9pm to 9am.

Intake from a window. Blowing air downward at lights
Exhaust into bedroom from top.
Have a small tower fan like 1 footer below lights.
I used to grow like this with 2 tents,
Window>downwards into tent> connect top and bottom vents to next tent> exhaust from top.

What kind of light are you running? I didn't see, sorry if you posted. Lazy atm

Also, your dehumidifier might draw more watts then your lights. Definitely not cost effective

Sorry to confuse you more man.

But you definitely have to be venting that hot humid air out of the room the tent is in. Either to another room or out a window.
All that it’s doing if you’re venting into the same room is raising your humidity! And it’s less clean air because it’s being recycled so much. I have my tent right next to a window, and my fan pushes the air out the top of the tent and outside.

It’s a good way to go when you have a chance to put the tent near the window , no doubt on that . So yeah it just stays on top of tent ( hot air out ) but the intake goes from the wall across the room where ac running .. I gues you’re right bout the same room where tent is ... gotta get it to the living room I guess :cool:

Would it be better to switch ac infinity that works on max 24/7 to get the air out and switch to the one that runs in and less powerful , would it be better or not ?
