3x3 Final lighting suggestions??

Well I'm happy to say my 3x3 tent arrived today. Got it set up looks pretty quality for the 85 bucks I spent. Now I am ready to finish buying the lighting. I already have a blurple viparspectra 1000w/230w actual draw. ( Yes I know that is the reason. I'd like input!!!) Want to finish lighting up my 3x3 so I can fill it pretty full with buds!!! What LED should I get to provide sufficient lighting for those needs, including the viparspectra I am currently running in the tent now. All input would be extremely helpful budget 150 to 200 U.S. max!

1000 watt hps off craigslist? Used on with stickers and shit. Its a newer bulb though, 1 run on it. Non air cooled and the glass is missing so you will have to buy an air conditioner. But you will still be way under your price range for the light!!!!!!

Well the only thing with the LED is the electric bill not trying to make it go way up. Deff thinking I want to stick with the LED route. But am open to suggestions ima newb!

HLG 100 or two hlg 65s.

Toss the blurple and buy a 315 CMH ... watts are watts, they don't care if your running an LED or HID lamp ... you still get billed on kWh

If your dead set on LED add an HLG v2 100 is probably your best bet ...

But a 315 CMH will smoke it.

I'm running 3 315w cmh in a 6x6 tent and my girls are very happy 10 plants 1 auto which will be done here soon i started with blurple and went right to cmh(LEC) if you can control the heat idk your growing situation its so worth it 1 in a 3x3 would be good

Its difficult when you have one cheap light, since you would need another of the same to fully light the space up properly.

That been 450w range you would be better going for a 315cmh outright.

Or you can add 180w of more efficient LED like say a 4 pack of hlg132 and matching driver, surrounding the light you already have.

That way you can leave your blurple on in veg and turn on the white LEDs as an addition for flower.

Imo ideally you would cover the entire canopy with leds and run them at very low wattage.

I would go for some combination of 4 QB288s, and run them very low with almost no heat emission.

If adding to the vipar 2 would be good imo.

Ok so the 315cmh light seems to be a popular Choice here. I'm interested but know nothing of it, really just concerned about heat output from the light also. I'm in a tight space so heats kinda one of the main issues too.

If heat is a big concern you can mount the drivers outside the tent with the HLG lights that have been suggested by others. The boards themselves obviously still put out some heat, but removing the drivers from the tent knocks ambient air temps down by several degrees.

Heat is a question of wattage, been cheap LED requires more power to light the same space than CMH and really good LED needs even less power the heat is directly related.

Its a question of having enough airflow and venting your heat out the room, that's a standard method for any small scale grower.

CMH definitely throws more heat than LED but its still totally manageable with decent ventilation... what are you using for an exhaust fan?

I've been running one in my 32"x32" tent for years and absolutely love it ... brings out great colors in the leaves and buds and delivers super dense, sticky trich covered colas

At the moment I don't have an exhaust fan I'm piecing everything together. I'm kind of just using a box fan for intake and exhaust right now. Also in a small space that's warm so thats why in so concerned with the heat. Also could I run the VS light with the 315cmh in the same 3x3 tent? Would this beto much light or the more the better??? ALSO see everyone likes to just use the veg setting on those led lights and not bloom, what's up with that?? When I researched it said the full spectrum was better for growth, but I see everyone just using the veg switch any advice here as well?!?!?

The switch is a marketing gimmick. No more, no less. When you look at the advertisement, they want you to think that it's some super duper special lamp because it has a "veg" and "flower" setting.

No different than the typical "equivalent to 1,000W HPS", even though the lamp draws just 60W.
