48 Darkness before harvest

on a serious note, i vaguely remember reading that the 48 hrs does not increase thc but it does reduce chlorophyll levels which ends up being a better and smoother smoke.

not sure if that's bro science either.
Or does that just take place anyway while drying and curing. Its all probably just personal growing preferences/methods that different people swear it does or does not work. Who knows, I was just wondering if made a very noticeable difference, sounds like it doesn't to me, or would take a lab test to see the difference. Its 18% without darkness, and 18.2% with 48 hours darkness, will that actually be noticed by the consumer?

Here’s a little something from high times.

When the relative humidity in the garden is low, your resin production will increase. This is a natural response cannabis has to dry air, an attempt to protect itself from hot, dry conditions. Marijuana resin actually has one of the highest UV-resistance ratings in the plant kingdom. The resin reflects light, preventing the buds from getting sunburn. (This is also why it’s so easy for helicopters to spot marijuana from the sky; it glows when seen through UV-sensitive equipment.)

Lowering the humidity in the room on that last night before harvest morning will ensure increased resin production, without having to let the medium go bone-dry first. Additionally, some growers like to subject their gardens to prolonged dark periods of up to 24 hours just before cutting, claiming they notice spikes in resin production. This is all right as the low humidity will cut down on light uptake anyway, plus it helps to make sure liquid foods within the plants drain down to the root zone.

So dark for 48 hours is a similar effect to letting your plants medium go dry. So let it sit in the tent and dry or put it in the dark to dry.

hmm. trichomes are a plant's response to protect it from UV. so your darkness has tons of UV in it? lmao.
Are you dense? Lol

I specifically said you're NOT going to see extra trichrome.*PALM TO FACE. Who knew comprehension was such a big issue.

I said resin/density which translates to WEIGHT.
