$5K net / Month room design

So I am courious (for research purposes) on the size of room I would need to net around 5K per month average. I would be using soil and probably 10,000 watts? Any input or videos would be appreciated. Yes I have grown but only small scale for personal. This setup would be in Colorado so I would take into account their retail herb prices. Also I am not sure the style of grow I would use yet. Its all still in the research and blueprints stages. Thanks

Take into factor what it costs to run an op that big. A pound a month? How strong is your wallet?

Wallet is very strong as long as I can keep the money coming in with the OP then I'll be fine financially.

6x1000's, powerbox, 8" vented hoods. 3 8" exhaust fans, 2 intake fans, co2 controller, flipbox if needed, etc etc etc. How big you wanna get? Bigger?

Naw...it costs about 2500 for a pound in colorado... @a rate of about 150 an oz....cause u can only buy and have 2 ounce...you only need probably 4-5000 Watts to do this and have a perpetual monthly harvest...

That whole perpetual monthly harvest (SoG) just doesn't work for me. The bulk "payout" is where it is at. Would you rather have 5k a month or 20k at the end of 4 months? It evens out but... I'd rather have 20k in my hands every 4 months.

if he can get 2500 for a pound, he'd need 3 every month to cover costs and net 5k.

and if he's just breaking in to the market, he might need to undercut going rate.

6 pounds every 2 months = 2,724 grams, a conservative half a watt per gram means 6k watts flowering, more for veg, clones, mothers.

You could set up pretty simple room...

15x20 room, 6k watts. 24 plants. Correct nutes and strand get you 8 lb minimum... 8x2500 = 20k divide that into 2 rooms and get 10k month with 4 lbs.... electric bill be about 600/month. Rent for house 1200/month.... start up cost is about 5k.

Know someone who had the exact setup. One person could manage whole thing alone. BUT it was done inside 2 ebb n flow systems

Excatly, I would probably have just 1 veg room and 1 flower room. Harvest every 4 months apx.

Yes to cover energy..nutrients, soil etc..an additional pound would be safe.. i think currently 2500 would be undercutting...this is street price...dispensaries charge 200-250 an oz here... if he is nickel and diming.. 3000-3500 a pound depends on how your moving it?

Buck, this thread already sounds like a pipe dream. If I gave this guy a shopping list of shit to go buy and told him how much it cost, he would stop replying to this thread. Being big requires you to know some shit. Money doesn't buy growing experience.

Sucks for you CO guys, shit's still 4-4400 a pound round here. 12-14k in villages. Yes per pound.

I keep a perpetual set up because, having different smoke throughout the month is important... lot of harvest work too all at once...

100% right about that. When I first started I never thought I'd get sick of trimming but after 2 hours per plant, sometimes I hate my life for a while.
