Not everyone can afford the 1200$ And even with a discount it’s above 1000$ but if you can afford it. It is at the top of the heap right now.

So guys... I need a Lil help, need to know what driver to use to power 12 strips. I need to go look which ones they are. But they’re 24v 48w Samsung strips. I believe I will need two or three drivers. Not sure what though. I can wire it just fine. Just not all that familiar with drivers.

Can you not wire them in series? Maybe running just one ? Def need someone a little more fluent in the diy lol

I could but in the end it will be 1100 watts and I don’t believe theirs a driver that can do the job stand alone. And if there is just how hot it might get. I know none of that so I’m hopin someone who does won’t mind givin a hand with what driver(s) I will work and not burn up in a month.

I was planning to get an LED to replace my 630 cmh during the summer-was thinking of a 480 watt model-this is for a 4x4 tent. But now I see this thing and my interest is peaked. How do you guys think 720 watts of LED compares to 630 CMH heat wise? There will be less IR, so cooler leaf temps, but will the tent get too hot? I've got killer ventilation and I plan on running it at night, with some AC during the day. Help me choose fellas!!

DE. Honestly, I think I could just keep running the CMH at night, but I'd like to try an LED anyway for comparison. The temps are fine in there even when my room is 80 deg, so it should be fine this summer. I'm just torn between a light with 480 watts of lm301b + meanwell drivers vs this one which is 250ish watts more but slightly less efficient diodes and unknown driver...but also 3 year warranty including paid shipping. This light has a lot going for it.

You never really want to run LEDs maxed out, it kills the life on them.
To run that build at about 75% you could use a HLG-480H-30 for parallel or a HLG-480H-C1400 for series.
