Does anyone have an experience with these lights? i know someone thinking about replacing their 1000w hps lights with them. they will be replacing 2 1000whps per 4x8 table with plants that are about 1-1.5ft tall. will these light have the same/better performance as the hps?

your gonna need two of them to do a 4x8 imo u can get away with one if u have a light mover

Yea were talking about replacing 2 1000whps on a 4x8 with 2 of these leds. I just want to ask how it would compare. Thinking replacing 10 hps with 10 of those leds?

They'd be happy but could add an additional 260w kit, later on, to gain more if they do feel like they need anything else for their particular situation. I like additional lighting when running heavy sativas. But my indica dominate keepers stress to much under more intensive lighting!

You dont think they have performance of 1000hps? he thought about gravita but upon coming across those 600watt kits he thought they might be as good

Guess he will find out. He purchased 4 of them to see what happens. Personally, I'm kind of excited to see how they perform

If you end up a little short on light consider adding a CMH lamp to add some heat

I think hes getting about 4 lb a table right now with cheapest hps bulbs/ballasts. His train is indica dom for sure. Do you think he will achieve that with these leds? They say they cover 5x5 for flowering. It's so hard to choose. Also considering they use 40 percent less power that's great. But hes been scared to make the jump because of the price of them

It should be able to match the photon output but you will need to adjust your environment to suit led's.
Low 80's and RH between 50-70% depending on the growth stage.

Yeah he should be able to maintain that weight. Ive pulled that from slightly less wattage using same LED tech.

As stated above he will need to be aiming 80-85f air temps.

My HLG 240w + 2 quantum boards ($150) covers 2 x 4 pretty well.
For 4 x 8 you'll need around 1000w of Quantum boards .... the ones you're looking at @ $750 will only give you half the light you want.
Buy the cheaper (Kingbrite) Quantum boards (4 x 240w) , then you can fully light your space for $600.

he got 2 600 watt qb boards for each table. Probably going to switch from 3.5ton to 2ton ac so it runs more often and adding returns and distribution points throughout the room. He will also be using that co2 so hopefully it turns out pretty good?

The hps have a tendency to cook the plants and probably overdrive them from 14 inches away.

I'm excited to see how this all performs. Plus without the ir heat from the hps sounds promising. Either way somthing has to give. It's time for a change.

The idea of 4 smaller light to provide better overall coverage sounds like a good idea too

Hes had his eye on those 600qb for a while now. It wasn't until after the purchase he learned about the 550qb. There's so many options it's hard to choose

First thing I said when I plugged mine in was ”holy shit!”
I bought two kits separately one heatsink is flat the other is angled at about 5 degrees. Wondering how yours came.

Im pretty sure they're all flat. He told me hes thinking about adding 2 more 260 QBs to make up for the sides for late flower

For 10k they better be worth it. I think 2 600s on a 4x8 is stretching it but then again hendont have a par meter.he replaced the hps of a table and at 11 inches above canopy they seem short on the sides

Yes it does look good indeed. We are going to see. He has the 600s running over a 4×8 to see how it's going to finish out. I think he already bought like 11 600s and is going to get 6 or 7 of the 260s
