don't matter. It will go down when he waters. The mound is to hold the seedling in place so it doesn't flop over. No biggie.. Age of seeds is up to frozen. Personally if he didn't exceed the 5 seed limit. Its ok. Maybe he wasn't able to sprout the others for one reason or another. Its getting out of hand that almost every post gets attacked. Again its on frozen. Of course if there are any dq issues. Imo it should be voted on by everyone.

Not every post, we were going strong for a while there haha but I was thinking the same thing about the dirt but others, like groer, used a stake to sturdy the seedling so there's alternatives that fit in the guidelines better. At this stage, you're right, no biggie but rules should be consistent otherwise theres grey areas that get people in unintentional trouble

It goes it in the paper towel to germinate tonight 2/22/2015!
(if space in my flower room presents its self I will run a second seed, most of my "extra" beans are regular non-fem and I don't have the space for a male... )
Lighting:
600 watt HPS (I'm running an Apollo brand ballast and the same 600 watt Apollo bulb that won the last contest) I've been in talks with Darryl the President at Inda-gro and I'll have an IG200 on the way REAL soon... I've been showing him what the Pro 420 Par can do (in the hands of a seasoned grower). Right now he's gonna give me a KILLER deal on the 200 and its going right in the flower room! I would love to use it for the comp, but I don't think it'll be here by the first... If it turns out that it is here by then, I'll have a couple more seeds to toss in...
Nutrients:
The one, The only, General Hydroponics Flora Nova One Part Series (Flora Nova Grow/Bloom) I'll be switching from Grow to bloom around the time I see white tufts. You guys ( @hyroot ) can all say what you want about this stuff, I've been running it for YEARS and personally have not found a better 1 part nutrient that easily runs through sprayers, DWC, flood tables, hempy, coco, and even soil.... I don't work for these guys, but I do depend on their stuff to perform, and believe me, it does! Also I'll be soaking that jiffy pop in a myko/clonex mixture if it matters
Medium:
At first I wanted to grow this seed in a flood cup of yard rocks to prove that medium means almost nothing in this competition, it comes down to skill, love, and genetics.... My wife got all pissy with me for trying to wash rocks in the kitchen sink, so I decided that I'd just toss 'em in the trash and bust out the MDWC again. Jiffy pop, water, and clay pebbles.

Whats up with your GERMINATION POST? As in you're a couple WEEKS late on it..... I think that the 3 you already popped should be DQ'd since you clearly didn't follow the rules... You can pop the other 2 for this comp, but that's it. The mound of dirt shit doesn't fly either, c'mon don't try to split hairs! Follow the rules from here on out, this shit is too easy too fuck up or cheat at!

Mound of dirt? That mound will be gone after the first time i water.. dont like to pack my soil down as is restricts root growth. Also she was a little floppy. What is different about my registration then anyone elses. Did you go back and read the rules, you wrote them. because it says write the germination Date on them you said maximum is five. Im a litttle confused...You said no roots showing outside the peramiters of the cup, nothing about soil that will be gone in a week.someone help me out am i right or wrong. or do you think im trying to cheat? Because trust me i have better things to do then try to fix a partycup grow. You can do dwc but you cant put a little soil over the edge of your cup to hold stem in place. maybe next time it would be a little better if there was an official registration thread that was separate from this one. maybe with an example picture of how it should be done in the rules section because to me all of the pictures on here are different in some way or another. there's a lot of variables at stake when working on the honor system.

I do apologize if Ive come across as "attacking" or being a little "over zealous" when it comes to some of these posts. Not my intentions, really just want to let people know if they have issues so they can fix them before actual trouble arises. I know how annoying it is when people rudely call out something potentially wrong, that's why I've tried to be word them as nicely as possible and raise them as questions, rather than be a dick about it. I'll tone it down though, really not my place anyways... This is my rookie PC season after all

There was an official reg thread...it preceded the comp thread. Things were pretty clearly spelled out to those that read the rules. As well, there have been 5 comps before this one...so there's lots of history, here.
It clearly states: weekly updates, with your first post being your germination post...you kinda glossed right over those important parts of the rules, which were clearly stated.
I know one must wade through all of the banter and bullshite to get to the important bits, but its part of being in these comps. We all play under these same rules...

This is all a bit of a minefield huh...
From my point of view, as a newbie i made sure i read over past competitions, the last one particularly avidly (wtg @FrozenChozen btw!) just to get a good feel of what was expected rule-wise.
One thing i noticed is there have always seemed to be a lot of folk risking their place by for example tweaking their cups (not strictly maliciously cheating, in fact a lot have been very clever), sneaking extra germination time (cheating plain and simple imo) etc in order to pinch that extra .01% potential. I don't really see the point of the risk, cmon people in black and white the rules are GROW WHAT YOU CAN IN A CONTAINED 16oz CUP, if in doubt remember IT'S NOT ROCKET SURGERY

I think the well used motto of this comp (KISS keep it simple stupid) should suffice as a guideline to all.
I DO think blatant and malicious (in the sense of being completely deceptive to gain advantage) cheating should be culled at the first opportunity, but for stuff like the odd late post, (y'know, stoner stuff) shouldn't be jumped so much imo. If someones interpretation of "rule" gets you riled up, take a 420 time
and when you've calmed down, consider the sliding scale of diss. 
it's a win/win situ man 
There are some VERY talented growers here (honestly, kudos) and especially with the wonderful prizes on offer, it's certainly a place to showcase your art
... but please remember that some (me especially) are along for the ride 
to have fun, believe me i will be over the moon just to finish . Let's keep it fun, is what i'm saying.
As far as the @RockinDaGanja case
, if i was Judge Judy i would agree with Frozen, maybe pop your remaining 2 entries, and keep the soil a bit less "up there" from start to finish. Dude you'd never hear the end of it if you got close to the final stages, i think the clean slate will keep everyone happy, and your participation untarnished, which is always a good way to be .
...anyway... sorry for the essay, i smoked too much while typing (test choc skunk mixed with "antique" kief from a decade old grinder. It is fucking ridiculous damn i love kief). I've got to type my week 2 update now, brb lulz
