Gavitas use a double ended High Pressure Sodium vapor lamp.
I see now. My first search of gavita yielded a plasma light they produce as well. I see the hps ballast and such now.

those gavita ballast do have some hellacious heat sinks on them.
Really, the big thing I like about the Gavita, is that it has the ballast built onto the reflector. And that save you a significant amount of install time.
If your ballast craps out?? I hate these.
Can't put ballast out of the room if you want either. Gavitas are overpriced junk imo.
Well you can experiment and go through trial and error. I've mentioned super hortilux and lumatek (no fan model). The choice of reflector is super critical imo.
