thanks for the tip spacing. i guess we will play with sum options then cuz im not sure the room we plan to use will fit all 24 plants with the veg room in the same room. if u could when u harvest take sum pix of ur root system or just let me know if the roots were close to rootbound or not. im pretty sure 3gallon container is enough for wat were trying to do just didnt know if we should do 5gallon or not. thanks bro

I have a picture of my roots flying around here somewhere. Before I even flipped to 12/12 people were telling me they were rootbound and i MUST transplant to get through flower.

Personally I think its all a myth and as long as u keep providing your roots food/water it doesnt matter how much of the container they take up. I once read an article where it say rootbound in cannabis is a myth and the deficiencies come from lack of food/water.

Specifically mentioned in the e-mail are Hortilux, Agrosun, and SunMaster. They claim that the newer ones have a chip to attempt to resolve this issue, but that sometimes those bulbs will still burn out because of the firing.

Go out and get cheapies my man! Now I'm in for a Lumatek and I REALLY appreciated that they stand behind their product and responded to my inquries promptly. That and the 5 year warranty have me sold, I'm going to be setting up a new XXL HomeBox or equivalent and I'll be going with 2 600w lights for this space as a flower room.

I'll also have a 4x4 approx. veg space that I will use. The new setup is going to be much better and I hope to have as much success as you have had.

Bud-Knot is a good problem to have I guess.

ya well they say rule of thumb is 1 gallon/per every month of growth; 3month grow cycle equals= 3gallon container... so i figured ud b rite on. but i remember reading everyone thought u were rootbound but that was cuz ur floor issue with the roots being cold from thr garage floor. since u fixed that issue the plants took off. cuz it tripped me out too that they werent growing fast rite away.
i think 3 gallon would work perfect and take up less room in our case. i posted a new thread with all my details ideas and list of shit to use if u want to check it out and critique it

Hey Laser, that is GREAT to hear!! I'm not sure what bulb I bought most recently but it was still expensive. I too want to get a 4x4 veg area.

Also, Boomer, they were much smaller when I had the cold-floor problem. It wasnt until about 4 weeks later I pulled my soil out of the container (becuase I thought roots werent growing at all) and the roots were lining the bottom of the bucket. Personally, I think you'll be more then satisfied with 3 gallons buckets. Start them off in dixie cups, though.

Also, I plan to let my girls go a few more days. Probably about 3. They are looking better and better almost hourly, and I'm starting to see shades of purple. I am going to re-examine the trichs but from what I saw they're all pretty milky with no signs of amber. Also, no more bud rot, humidity is down to 40%, and fan is on full blast. I'm not to concerned about anymore rot but ill keep looking out for it. Things are going great.

Hey Boomer. Yes, I started with 12 3 gallon pots under 1 light until they got to big for there space. I spread them apart for about 1 week of veg and then made the flip to 12/12.

They defiently out grew the most efficient part of the light but it didnt seem to make a difference as I have good solid big nugs around the edges of the canopy as well as in the middle of the canopy.

Right now they are all seperated at different ways, I basically just made a puzzle out of my plants. Although they got to heavy and started leaning on each other and causing ultra high-humidity, and thats where I got my little bit of rot.

Anyways, 4x4 canopy typically for a 1000w and about 3x3 a little bigger for 600ws. Try to set the lamps close enough to over-lap your light but not too close where ur wasting grow space.[/QUOTE

Hey Bterz, I have been doing for a few yrs now and most of my grows have been with 6" 1gallon containers and I still get around 2z from each plant using a 600w hps. I have a hight issue so I toss in to flower at 8-10 inch. I just watered them and they were fine. I saw another season grower just use 16oz solo cups the whole way through still got a good deal of meds. It sucked because of the watering all of the time.

Logan, I couldn't agree more. I personally think anything will grow in any size container to any size. I used the 3 gallons, and I had people telling me I should transplant into 10 gallons lol.

1 gallon - 3 gallon is ideal for me.

I go from 3 to 10s with my grows but i only got 4 plants under one 1kwatt light.

If I was to grow large plants I would go with bigger containers. I was to grow one in one 35gallon trash cans. Veg it under two 600s for two months and then flower it, but I think I would need to cut a whole in the roof.

Thanks you two! I am so happy its crazy. I had a fun night last night trimming the 12 bitches, but I've never seen anyone so happy about there own death!!

Anyways, out of EVERYTHING I trimmed last night, I only found (1) more branch with about a (2) gram nug that was rotted. Thats IT. and I checked, EVERYTHING.

Heres some pics for everyone. I dunno if this is the best idea to post harvest photos but I dont give a fuck :hump: :joint:

A bit wide...

andddd a bit deep.

also, a bit crystally.

The plan for tonight is to go back around 10pm and pluck out every leaf I see. I'm going to buy some latex gloves and make some finger hash. I set aside all crystal covered leaves to make some thc-butter as well as some hash or anything else.

Thanks everyone for sticking around, hopefully i'll have some new bitches vegging in a week or two. I also got a Window AC unit if I ever decide to put up a tent in my house.
