Hey OP don't call me a "hater" because I don't agree with you. I'm not "hating" I'm giving you good grow advice when I say this will not turn out well.

You're really setting up to fail. How about you do a real bare minimum grow? Instead of backyard dirt and an incandescent light non grow lol

I think the bare minimum would be a bag of Kellogg's soil(under $5 around here) and some cfl's($10 for a 4pk)
12/12 from seed and you just might be able to harvest a plant or two. Total cost = $15

When you say subbed how does that actually work?
Just because you replied, it automatically has you "watch thread" and gives you alerts anytime someone else replys. Or if you don't want to reply but still be notified(aka subbed) you can click "watch thread" at the top right of any thread.

Edit: yea I lol'd a lil at you guys that already replied to this thread and then posted "subbed" lol newbs

Your missing the point. Im cutting EVERY possible corner to study how a the plant reacts. This is more about showing how a plant handles severe stress. If my light is not sufficient enough to SUSTAINE LIFE i will switch.

The goal here is a live plant all the way through. To study the long term effects of lack of care.

I've done that in a PC case. ^^ 2x 45w CFL. In a cheap bag of soil, no nutes. 12/12 from seedling. The plants used to stretch a lot and i used to pin them down back to the pot. The end result was surprising and the smoke was nice.

Oh ok, but you're missing my point... You're a fucking idiot
Im an idiot for doing something diffrent? The solution would be to just not follow this thread. Its people like you who make me lose faith in humanity. If i wanna grow a sickly and underfed plant with poor lights who the fuck are you to tell me not to? It would be different if you had some feedback, but your just being a dick.

Anyway sorry for no pics of the dirt yet. I took em but haven't been able to upload them. I mixed dirt from my yard and stone of different sizes in about 2parts dirt 1part stone. This is in a 3 gallon pot. The pot is only half filled with soil.

I put 10 seeds in this pot because i know some will not sprout. If more than one sprouts they will grow together. Not like they are gunna get big anyway and fighting eachother for light and nutes may be intresting. If nothing else, this is going to be interesting lol

Subbed. :P

OP. I think this will all depend on the dirt to tell the truth and what nutrients it contains bro. I don't know about incandescent bulbs tho. Anyway, reminds me of this dudes grow journal. I read the whole thing twice and I laughed so hard I was literally in tears. There's a part 1 also.

If it was for " shit and Giggles " , just germ it in a Dixie cup or butter container.
No need for a journal , .
Experiment done ( tears flow ) .

LOL subbed. Love the "rocks for drainage"

Somebody once asked me why I have dog food under my pots. For drainage, of course.

You are by far not an idiot. What you are doing is educational. The reason is we are all told to do this and that to get good green. We are not told what will happen if we don't. This will show a new person the reason to use more light better soil and nutes. One can say all day you must do this to get a good crop. Not a soul will show you what happens if you don't. Its almost as if its embarrassing to show pictures of a bad grow.

We all want the biggest nuggets right? One pound yield on every plant. Wait I hear reality knocking. To know all sides of the grow makes you a better farmer. We all get that harvest that is small. Thats with doing everything right.

Who knows this could make a stronger healthier strain. Grown over and over by clone till you get an ok yield with all original factors in place.

That kind of clone would explode in the good stuff. We stress train our plants. Why not make a strain with stress training.

Getting success in this area could be very lucrative. Selling by clone only a real hard to kill strong growing plant.

The variables are endless. Pollinate this plant with others that do great things. This is how a new strain can be created.

Now my question is. Who wants a clone of a plant that grows like a mad dog that just broke its chain?
Think about it. Think about the future. Think about the past. How far we have come. Thinking eating a leaf will get you high. In the Cheech and Chonge movies it was funny. Well now its funny. Back then they believed that.

In order to make things better you must take a few steps back sometimes. Think about it! Don't just call an explorer stupid. Is that the kind of attitude that got us to the moon? Or even discovered that the world is not flat?
Take time to think!
