A Stumper of a Question Regarding Edibles

I like when you hit 400mg...600mg...

The easiest....decarbed buds ground and stuffed into 00 caps. 1/2 gram can fit in each and if its 25% weed thats 125MG per cap.

20% weed is 100mg per cap...4 of them hums just nice....sativa for the daytime no sleepies. I make edibles and caps strain specific and they behave differently just not as dramatically as with a doob.

Except done with the right strains sativa gummies are like electric espresso. And a solid indica...good luck staying awake.

Throw some autoflowers or CBD in to help chill it all out...beauty.

I make gummies and brownies but mostly tincture and i dont mind just eating a 2 or 3 gram decarbbed bud...its probably got minerals and vitamins and it tastes better than the first pot brownie i made :D
does swallowing straight decarbed bud get you as high per g as when it's in oil?

RSO taken sublingually can hit as fast as 15 min. --- about 30 min for me.

I really like this company's product (no, not a rep)
edit - I've been wanting to try their Delta-8 tablets next time they're at the local dispo.

Just don't do what I did and think that their "fast dissolving tabs" are sublingual. --- They DO dissolve fast. And the taste lasted for hours.....:spew:

I'm about ready to start. Decided I have to go with what is same size capsules so I cannot tell what it is based on different sizes. That narrowed it down to Wild Thai, Blueberry, and Shiva Rose. Unfortunately they are not as different as I would prefer, but on the bright side they are good so I'll enjoy. I think this is going to be difficult to tell.

These are pills of butter of similar strength. The terps might be there more than in your tincture but I've never been able to discern a taste in this way. At most I might belch after it mixes with stomach juices and be like 'I think I taste pot'.
I didn't forget. I'm working on this.

I would probably start with timing the onset
Did it take 30 minutes, 45 minutes etc.
Go through each strain and record the time you feel effects
After getting the timing down you could record the physical effects like munchies and the psychological like euphoria
This would help you develop a profile and something you could reference down the road as you expand your knowledge and experience
Just a suggestion

Do as much prep as you can before ingestion
Use timers and anything else that can help you when you are impaired
Pencil, eraser, and paper...old school but effective

Honestly, I could never distinguish between the hybrid strains and would be challenged to identify an indica or sativa
Sounds like you had fun with your experiment
Just a suggestion here too, use the term glassy eyed

Remember (no pun intended) that you are doing research on a mind altering substance that f*cks with your memory
Even if you write it down there's a chance it won't make any sense, happened to me

Are you going for a second try?

Nice notes on this!
I've been thinking on this a bit more, and in more than just edibles. I'm currently growing OG Kush & Strawberry Kush.
Both are brain blasters - don't bother trying to read anything, it won't stick.
The OG has noticeably less couch-lock, while the Strawberry has a very sleepy finish. (might be the only way to tell the two strains apart.)

As far as edibles and telling strains apart goes - I've had the Protab (Hashtab) tablets in Sativa, Indica & Hybrid - the Hybrid & the Indica are both very euphoric and dreamy, stay home & chill experiences - the Sativa sends me outdoors on an adventure almost every time.

So I guess I'm saying that I DO notice differences in strains - but I think we know almost nothing about how terpenes / THC / the endocannabinoid system interact with our bodies to produce these effects.

eg: --- If Lemon / citrus Strains are "happy" - then smoking a joint of Lemon Larry while in a Lemon Grove drinking a glass of lemonade and a can of Lemon oil furniture polish to huff on should make me the happiest guy on earth. ;)
(a brief read of my posts will dispel that myth...)

Another (similar to my mind) are things like "negative ions"
If negative ions from large bodies of water put people in good moods - why are surfers such assholes?
(yep - that's a mirror I see there!)

I just don't have enough experience with many strains to differentiate, especially with edibles being my primary method of ingestion
Enjoying my latest batch of infused simple syrup

The left is a heavily filtered tincture infused simple syrup
The right is a less filtered cannabis tasting syrup

Can you share the recipe?

I make cannabutter / oil / MCT - all pretty standard recipe. I like the water method, removes much of the canna-flavor.
I actually like the more cannabis flavored products, but the less flavored are more flexible for cooking.
(I use leaves for flavoring)

nice suggestions. 'glassy eyed' it is from now on, I prefer that. Hmm seems my results post is gone? What is that, the "woke" police? Would they tell me if I made an infraction cuz they didn't? All the bad things I read I can't believe this was the one that's a problem. So presumptuous they are.

I think the surfers I've encountered ARE assholes. Or how dare

Anyhoow, what is difficult is to learn to sense the indicators amongst all the moods and other variables. You can have a feeling that gives you an opinion of what the strain did to you but it is even harder if you know what the strain is before you think you notice the feeling. So doing it blindly is going to sharpen your skills at that. How else are we to figure out what it might be doing on a psychological level? You can do this with vaping too if that's what you like. But potency control is going to be difficult with vaping or smoking. I enjoyed the test but it's kind of time consuming. Did it once and now I'll take that and keep it in mind as I do me and we'll see probably do it again but it will be a while. Still I recommend trying it. So if the woke police can't dig that then they can stick it!
