ACInfinity Cloudline T4 & 4" Carbon Filter

I have it hanging on straps but I guess there's no harm in adding a couple screws for added security. I would've used tubing to connect filter to fan but like I said above their tubing sucks.
I had mine on straps as well, went on holidays while my son tended my tent. Came home to find the vent had come off and the heat cooked my plant. Sadly my son didn't know any better so didn't even notice the temp issue. Foxtails everywhere and just ruined the plant. Its definitely a better safe than sorry thing.

Damn man that sucks. I'm here to learn from other people's experiences so I'll definitely add screws if its like that.

Yeah, good plan. My exaust was used to cool the 1000 watt HPS so when it came off it became an oven I there. It foxtailed so bad I didn't get one solid bud but did get just over a pound of foxtailed bud. Was a great yield for 1 plant but still pissed me off. I just jarred it all and will be turning the whole thing into rosin. It was very disappointing. First thing I did was drive some screws through it so it would not happen again.

Yeah it hurts to hear peoples stories of it happening but it happens far to often, i knew someone would be quick to chime in.

Just a couple screws through the filter flange and the fan flange will hold it together forever. Then a little tape to seal it up 100%. Makes it as compact as possible.

the other option is a coupling like this but theres no need and it makes it longer.

Man i would have thought a 1000w would literally cooked it. Surprised you didnt have a fire....

Yeah, it took most of the leaves but I had enough fans running so thankfully only ruined the plant. Wish I had a pic of my face when I came home and looked at it. The neighbors outdoor leaves had all gone yellow so my son just said " I thought that was normal". :wall: It is pretty covered in trichomes so will make decent rosin anyway. I switched it to an HLG 600 with uv bar after that mess. The only real good part about that failure is helping others not have the same issue so I am glad you brought it up.

Yeah ive walked into a couple peoples grow rooms and immediately asked them if they were growing weed or running a happy ending sauna? Temps well over 90. Water dripping down the walls. If your not comfortable, your plants are not comfortable.

I just received my order for the Cloudline T4 & matching 4” Carbon Filter, and was hoping someone on the forum might have experience with these.

The Documentation states that the filter can be directly attached to the fan using ‘existing’ clamps.

However this simply does not work given that there is no flexibility in the filter’s flange, and the supplied clamps are only about 3/8" wide.

Does it require a different style of clamp and if so where can I order? I'd prefer not to use ducting, and would like something a little more solid than just duct tape.

Thanks in Advance!
Hi do you know if I could use a rhino carbon filter with the ac infinity?

My first tent. I bought AC Infinity everything except the filter (iGrowtech 6 x 18). Its all 6" I don't know if there is a right way or wrong way I just stuck it together the way I thought it should go. I'll re-do and secure it a bit better when I finish with this grow. But everything seems to work well. I dropped the filter and dented the flange a little when putting it together. Had to use duct tape on the filter flange to seal it good but would have used duct tape anyway.

Thank you very much everyone says to use tape anyways so I guess nothing wrong happened fortunately :)

4 inch is 4 inch. The only reason I didn't order the AC Infinity Filter was the reviews which were not that good on Amazon. iGrowtech seemed to have the best reviews so I bought it. 6" is 6" in my case unless we bring the ole lady in on the discussion

I believe AC may only include one clamp, in which case you should buy another clamp. There are finger twist ones cheap that dont even need a screwdriver.

Clamps and ducting should make install easy. Ducting between motor and filter, and ducting between motor and exit tube/duct. No need to try and line anything up.

I have been testing a lot of fans and like the look/specs of the Panasonic Whisperline fans. I presume you run them on full with no speed control?

I need to keep noise level LOW; so far I've bought AC ~, S&P TD-Silent, Active Air, others, and I am not happy yet. The AC~ is ok but you have to use speed 3 or under, else the S&P is quieter, but it has no speed control - not a show-stopper issue as I'm ee familiar with controls. I'm ordering the 6" 340 cfm Panasonic to try one.

PS: This is exhaust app of a 200 cf closet where I need neg pressure to prevent smell in the house, and vent directly thru wall outside thru a 4" dryer vent, so I must use carbon filter (in suck-mode, lol)to prevent odor outside. The first run went great, but the can-lite 6" x 24" was not masking smell near end of flower - I had high humidity and I think that killed it fast.

Call me crazy...but I have tried the Canlite filters, the ac and a few others. I think when new they all perform similarly. At 2 or 3x the price, I don't think it is worth it to buy besides ac (for my ac). Changing the prefilter keeps them running fast...buying a new one every 6 or 9 months is a better choice for carbon over buying better ones imo. I have used various carbon and hepa filters for 20 years...new carbon cant really be improved upon. Except with a 2nd one lol.

Put a HEPA/carbon air cleaner outside the room "just to keep things fresh" (what you say to the family).

I dont like it. As far as i can tell there is no way to have it run at say "3 all the time" and "7 when it gets over 75 degrees". Its seems like its either off or on.
I don't know about the cheaper temp/humidity control but the 67 controller does have a minimum fan speed setting. I was pleasantly surprised that my T4 came with the 67 so I asked AC about it, they are transitioning to the 67. 8-)
I'm guessing the other control will disappear or replace the basic speed control.

They run 24/7 full speed. The 440 sucks air out of the tent and blows thru a 750 cfm Phresh filter.
