Anyone herd of someone getting their grow inspected? I just watched a tube vid, guy stating they are planning a Canada wide inspection before the new rec law happens. Just got my med papers. What's the law state if someone is over?

I would think the first thing is... loss of license?

There are nearly 300,000 mmj patients registered with LP's and many of those are growing. There are an unknown number growing but not registered with an LP and there are about 30,000 mmar patients. With less than 10 weeks until legalization, it is not possible to do a Canada wide inspection before. Also if it is merely an inspection with no criminal investigation, they would need to give notice of any inspection - or you just refuse entry without a warrant and thin out the garden. It is no longer an illegal substance and unless they can prove 'illicit' distribution,I doubt they care. I have never heard of an inspection on any medical garden for the sake of inspection - the costs would be astronomical and they spent all their money on a pipeline that will never be built instead. LOL

Typically people I've known who've been caught with more plants just had to destroy the excess to get the numbers within their limit and that was the end of it.

Just curious...were these actual HC ordered inspections, or were the cops there for other reasons?

Cops usually or occasionally by-law officers called by building super's. I don't think any were ordered by HC or official inspections. Never heard of anyone from HC looking into them, or really doing anything around enforcing PPL/DG licenses.

If they are doing some kind of audit, they may select a number of random sites....

Bylaw and building super's would have no authority to determine plant counts - they would have no way of knowing what your script is - that is personal medical info. The only scenario would be the cops showing up during an investigation into illegal activity - and they would need a search warrant to enter. I call bullshit, too.

I never had no one come to my house to check.
Person next door called the police on me after smelling burning weed.
Knowing how the cops operate I left them a little note and placed it in my garbage on the very top. Sealed the note in a baggie.
Made fun of them on there undercover work and said before you come to my house you better call health Canada.
4 days later im outside. The people next door come home heard them say nothing can be done about the weed..heard them say...now we gotta move.
So knowing they don't like the smell I turn on my exhaust fan that points at there house and smoke giant joints when they arrive home...or when there outside.
That's what they get for being a rat. The fallout is large for them lol

The old drunk next door to my grow used to call the city and complain every 6 months. I bought new filters and did what I could but the bitch was never happy. My solution was to build a chicken coop next to the fence. Not only does it block her view of my yard, she gets to smell chicken shit instead of cannabis.

So, the cops would have shared the confidential details of your medical condition to your neighbours? That would be unprofessional and probably illegal.

My medical condition was told to everyone when I got busted years ago.
The newspaper did a half page story on me when I got nabbed with 200 plants.
I went down on medical and had a expensive Bay Street lawyer.
I walked away without anything...but it cost me large for that lawyer.

I am a trooper though. Less than a week later I was growing again and never stopped.
Had to wait 10 years to get legal though to grow...that's the law. Can get legal to smoke but to grow your own its a 10 year wait.

I agree there is absolutely no way in hell all registered grows are going to be inspected. That being said if you are on a list it is possible for someone to show up to inspect.
I am much more worried about the complete BS driving laws then I am a myth about an army of inspectors nation wide. I also stay within all the numbers my license allows so they can inspect away for all I care lol

It takes them 3 months to process a grow registration - no way they are going to get their shit together enough to organize a country-wide inspection. Come October 17, every house could be a potential legal garden - the courts are not going to allow anyone access to every home in the country to look for a legal plant. I grow within my plant count, I don't sell my meds so I have no worries of an inspection. They will need to show up with a warrant to have a look though...a judges' signature is the only thing that gets you through my door uninvited.

I’m speaking of the top 50 super grow list HC has and reported on. Vancouver island apparently has a green team that was active a few weeks ago in regards to injunction gardens
