For a while i was thinkin of goin hydro but after a while of research it sounds like aero grows pretty dam fast and seems like aero is cheaper. I also have heard that the roots on aero get so long that they end up sitting in the resevoir. In that case your pretty much turnin yourself into hydro. I also have heard that hydro misters get clogged alot. Does one of these take more work than the other? Does one come out with better buds or grow faster? Please help me make my choice easier.

aero - is hydro, or a method of it.
yes the roots end up in the resivor anyway, righti n the solution, and your system then becomes a dwc/bubbler.
i say - why go aero - when you'll end up dwc anyway...
i think aero is over hyped up personally. most other oxygenated water hydro system should grow just as fast, with about the same yields.

Well lets think about this for just a minute. You think it will be easier for a first timer to construct and maintain a system that runs 24/7 then say a flood and drain, that work two or three times a day on a timer. Ok, then that will probably be your best bet. VV

I would reccommend atleast an aero cloner and then switch them over to a DWC, look up FilthyFletch's aero cloners, his plants grow more in the first 2weeks than most do in a 1month in soil....Also not all aero systems end up DWC. One type has large PVC pipes angled slightly to transfer the water back to the res. This system ends up being aero/NFT, and IMHO is the best type of aero system around.

this is what the man gave me for aero set up.. hopefully he will respond to ya.. dudes the man with aero an dro.. there is a set up to keep the roots from getting into the res.. but from what ive read on some of earls posts the roots can clogg the drains when theres enough of them.
