I have had 3 aerogardens and witnessed another one and have never seen a pump quit...

Must be a select batch...I'm sure its been fixed...

Plus their customer service is the best when it comes to defective parts as they usually ship very fast and with xtra goodies....

wahs goin on my fellow aero brothers... i know ive been MIA for a while, but im proud to say my AG garden is looking quite prosperous... i was flipping back W.O.W harvest, and i must admit, i had alot of jelly running through my veins cuz his buds were big as fists!!!! but anywho, you live and you learn.. and this is all one big experiment to me...

I still have 3 plants....

Heres where my garden gets tricky.... When i added the supplental light, i had 3 26watt warm cfl's on on side of the AG and 3 26 watt cool cfls and one 26 watt warm on the other side....

WELL.....

The plant that had all the warm light over it is budding quite nicely...

The plant that had most of the cool light, grew ALOT, and i mean ALOOOOT of hairs and extra node branches... From the top of the cola, to about 8 inches down, there is literally like 15 nodes, and no spacing!!! I figured the cool light was slowing down the flowering cycle so i changed all the light to warm.... (its so hot in my closet in have to have 4 fans at all times) I now have 6 26 watt warm cfls and one 42 watt warm.. i dont know how many lumen that is but im sure its enuff....

the third of my plants went through a crisis.... you see, i was tieing them down one day, and the only string i could find was floss (BAD IDEA)... long story short, i tried to move the plant and forgot bout the floss.... off went the top of the plant, about 6 inches from the top... pissed, you bet i was...

i just ordered a aero delux... i have been reading all the posts... i have white willow seeds that i got from my plants i grew out back... i am paroniod cause the gas man abnd the lawn men go back there so i am gonna grow indorrs now... you guys have given me alot to think about,, i am gonna experiment since i have alot of seeds.. thanks ps i might have alot of questions to ask.. i hope you all will be patient with me

As a noob, lurking since Feb. I have learned a great deal from everyone, and am so very appreciative for everyone's insights etc. I started a grow not long after signing up, and have had some success using the AG classic with bag seed.

I've been taking pics the whole time, but given a young family, never got around to doing a journal.

As I said earlier, I have been having success with two ladies from the six I started from seed in a make shift grow room in my basement, but I recently had a small issue that has cause me some concern.

One of the ladies is definitely Indica, and she sprouted about a week ahead of her sibling who indicated Sativa by growing high and fast. The other day, when I went to raise the light another few inches to accommodate my tall plant, the light cam crashing down on the top of the Sativa and cracked the top Cola's stem. In great sadness, I removed the top cola and some surrounding stems.

Will this kill it?

The Indica is doing fine...a little on the small side, but this is fine for me, looking for a small grow on a first attempt. I'm considering stepping things up next time around.

Both plants are probably a week and a half or so from harvest (AG nutes, emergency blanket, additional lights etc)

I've seen a few threads about pumps going out on the ag and i agree with tek that it must have been a bad batch of ag's shipped out. I guess something like that would make someone distrustful of using the ag. thats a shame because it really is a nice little system. i haven't had any pump problems and my water doesn't heat up because of the pump. I'm wondering if its not the extra lights that some are using thats possibly a cause of the water heating up in the reservoir? i didn't modify mine in any way and it worked fine i used ag nutes all the way. also i used lowryders but i'm thinking that full size plants have more root growth and possibly gunk up the pump causing pump failure and heating of the water. There are 5 females in there. I started with all 7 slots filled 2 ended up male, and of course before the balls came they were the best looking ones. I think it always happens that way.

It really is a mess in there, they are all tangled with eachother and everything, I would untie them all and reorganize them to all be in their own place, but they are so close to harvest im not going to bother. I fear breaking them if i do and this close to harvest they wont heal first. if it were still in veg stage i would because who cares then? theyd just grow 2 kolas if i accidently topped them. i actually did that on one of them that turned out to be male early on.

hey every one i got the aero garden deluxe ( 4 x 42 cfls and 250 w hps & wind tower,flora nova gow/bloom )and alot of killer genetics 20 x auto hindu kush 1 going right now , 60 x lowlife mixseeds , 10 x auto ak47 , 10 x deisel ryder and i grew 2 aurora indicas in it at once nice yeild ,and i have many other holland and worldly strains im new to the autos with the ag i really want to know if a seed run is possible to keep genetics alive , i have grow tent i might try for the mix packs ,if any one knows if seed run is possible with ag let me know ,,,420

My rez temps get pretty high in the first few weeks of veg...until the plants are big enough to shade the grow surface from heat and light...

Maybe its the fox farm big bloom that is supposedly mainly for the roots and keeping them healthy...

But I have never had any problems with high rez temp...

distrustfull? no u read me wrong. and i was thinking the same thing about the bad batch of pumps. its not that im never gonna use it ever again -even though i wont-. its just that its more fun and cheaper to build ur own hydroponic set. more efficient too if u know what your doing. u dont have to stick with the AG cause u bought it. u gotta admit sometime that the AG isnt the best. in fact it does suck. well.... compared to this new one built. ill have some pics on my thread pretty soon.

dear rollit up members i find it really disheartning that all the ag growers cant answer or dont choose to answer my ? on a seed run with auto's all this bla .bla ,bla tek i thought you were such a great dude by the sounds of ur threads but more and more i think u are acting like a mini ture arjan ( i know im going to get hated on for saying my 2 cents but f@ck it ) ,,, 420 ,,, and in the future look for my deisel ryder and lowlife seeds extravaganza

haha i think he means can he start from seed to harvest or should you use clones.
yea you can go seed to harvest many people have, but there is a good advantage from starting with clones, my babies are about a week and half old now and i started from seed, i plan on sexing them finding a female and using her as a mother for my clones.

Chase - tsk tsk tsk.... i'm ashamed of you, hating and bashing on the AG like that. First off, I have two bagseed fems that are doing great, i've never had any problem with my AG, infact I love it. Second off, you're snow white is doing EXTREMLY well too, and as well for Zac. How dare you bash on what I like to call a beginners grow set up. If it werent for the AG you wouldnt have that tastey snow white or K2 so stop hatin on it! I agree with you to some point that on a future grow I would like to build my own just becuase of the AGs resivour is so small, but then again i've seen some threads on here where people get 1-3 oz off a single plant in the AG. Anyways right now i <3 AG, it definately does grow bud, perfect for someone on their first couple aeroponic grows.

Tek - you're the boss man i've seen all your LR projects, you're an inspiration! haha. I just bought some of those Lowlife autoflowering seeds but I got the mix pack so I could have some variety, what's your viewpoint on autoflowering strains?

ok im building a bigger grow box for my AG now, i got the shell all done now i have to do the inside, any suggestions? the dimensions right now are 40" high 26 1/2" side to side and 18" front to back. should i try to make a place to clone in there or should i just build a separate cabinet for that? when i get batteries for my camera, ill take some pictures
right now i am growing in a moded bookshelf hehe but i know i will be needing additional room, and this new box probably wont even cut it but it will work for now.

i have a similar size area.

BUT now that i have mothers, i really need another space to put them and to use my originals area for SOG.

keep AG with 2 moms is smaller area say 40x20x18. use AG light and 2 42w cfls. leave on 24/7.

can clone using extra pod holes. can get rock wool and 1 inch containers or get the AG master grow kit.

then in original area (now the flowering area), get small storage box say 8inches deep, 24 inches wide, and 16 inches deep (approx) with a cover. make it light tite. add air stone

add 12-16 1 inch holes evenly spaced. place clones from mothering area when ready every two weeks into flowering area. rotate every 2weeks with 12/12 lights and in 8 weeks harvest.

check out the post it give you all the info for ideas. at least that is mine.it should work just a downsized version of AL.B Fuct.

it's when you have either hard to find or expensive seed genetics and you purposely pollinate the female with pollen on q-tip or paintbrush where ever you touch the nug only that spot will grow seeds (keep your favorite strains going ),,,420 sorry i got so bent out of shape bro's i' ve grown only females so i dont know if ag can produce viable seeds.
