so with a ppm meter if the water is to high or to low i can just adjust it just how i would with a ph kit ?
ppm means parts per million...it measures how much of something is in the water...in this case nutrients...
u can use a ppm meter to measure how much water/nutrients a plant is using...
put a nute solution in res and take a reading...for example 600 ppm...like 24 hrs later take another reading....if its higher...say 650... its drinking more water so u need to dilute with water...if its lower...say 550...its using more nutes so u need to add some:shock:

You don't really need a ppm meter when you are just beginning to grow. Reason being, it just makes everything more complicated.

As a beginner, you really need to focus on learning more about the plant. You don't need to be worrying about your ppm rising or falling and trying to figure out what you should do about it.

If you just use the GH nutes and follow the feeding schedule, there will be no problems. Once you are experienced and are comfortable with the strain that you are growing, then you start experimenting with the ppm. That will allow you to fine tune your nutrients to your specific strain.

Also, until you decide on a specific strain, the ppm that is needed will never be the same. That means, each time you grow a different plant, you won't know exactly what that plant wants. That's where the feeding schedule comes in. The feeding schedule was designed to be a happy medium where most plants fit comfortably.

Take a look at my grow. I have a ppm meter, but I don't use it. I just pulled my first plant out of drying and it's standing at 1.9 ounces before cure. I still have two plants still going that are about twice that size.

make sure you keep the ph at 5.5-6.5.That plays a major role in this system..i used to grow in one.but i grow now in a bubbleponics unit from stealth hydro.Keep a watch on that ph

i have a floralicous Plus nutrient aswell but im not sure when to add it ?
My bad dude, that shit is to be used separately. You shouldn't use that with the 3 part system. I was thinking it was Floralicious Bloom. That's what you get when you read things while you're stoned.
