aeroponics basic questions

This is a good one, plus it is adjustable. It really depends on the system you are going to build and how much water you want to move. They make bigger and smaller, but I wouldn't go below 350GPH. Also, I think a digital timer would work just fine.

I think the general idea is to atomize (break or mist) the water/nutrients mix fine enough so the roots can absorb it easier. You can't use too much water, because in most cases it contains your nutes and you don't want to overdo it. But higher pressures will certainly help with the atomizing process.

Im the systems I use ,build and sell I always run the pump 24 hours a day.You can get a timer that will do multiple hour setting by weekly and have it set to run 15 minutes on off 2 minutes and then repeat that sequince the entire grow but its not needed. 24 hours works fine.Pump size depends on the setup and distance it is from the res. In tub setups for like 6-8 plants a 200 gph pump is fine for a 30 gallon res.In my larger 32 site setups with 50 gallon res and 4 posts I use no less then 800gph bigger is better. In 60 site setups a good sump pump 1 hp or larger is great. You want good even constant pressure with a good strong mist. You can also add a fogger to a tub res for even better results but clean it often as nutes tend to cake up in those.

A fogger is a nice add on but like I said it clogs if you dont clean it.Yes the foggers for like ponds and small home decor where it takes the water or solution its in and makes a heavy fog
