Those HUGE fucking threads bog down the servers..
You know all those times your shit timed out because it took so long? its because the servers were having to use up all of their memory for someone who was replying to one of those huge monster threads.
He isn't power tripping he is trying to make sure this shit doesn't happen again.
They probably checked all of the server logs, saw that each time the servers crashed or bottlenecked it was around the same time those huge threads were being modified and decided that was probably the problem and squashed all hope of them being revived again.

12/12 from seed is only worth using if you are growing monster plants indoors, mainly sativa dominant strains that stretch to absurd heights and have super long flowering periods.
If you veg a haze plant for 4 weeks then throw it into flower, you better have 14 foot ceilings and be prepared for a 20+ week grow.
If you have for example, a pure indica like Afghan #1 you aren't going to yield much of anything if you 12/12 from seed because its not going to reach for the sky when it starts flowering.
This is some drastic generalization.. but pure sativas gain most of their size in flowering, and pure indicas in veg.
Hybrids show traits of both, and the more dominant one type is the more/less stretch it has in flower.
