looking for advice on air pots, im thinking about buying some and have read that they dry out very fast, so you need to water plants every day, is this true? and also if it is then this means i can feed my plants more often meaning its a bit like hydro, can i still go water feed water feed like i do now? so instead of my plants getting fed once a week (water every 3-4 days now) they will get fed 3-4 times a week. thanks for any help

I just asked a guy on here and their pretty simple, everything is the same for a soil grow, when roots grow they head toward the sides where the mesh covered holes are, they pick up extra oxygen, which is good. Bottom feed with a tray when they need it. Top feed will run out the holes.

I use coco in Airpots with drippers and would say they are definately worth the bit of extra cost. These pots stimulate new root growth through air pruning (rootballs get very dense in coco), can be messy if you hand water unless your careful.

What medium are you using?

I find the 3ltr pots good from rooted clone to a couple months old, then transplant to 10ltr pots. Scroggsy.

the air pots do dry out a bit quicker but not you don't need to water them every day every other day at most or 3rd depending on the size of the plant and the temp. The holes on the side air prune the roots they don't spiral round the ends of the roots die off when come in contact with oxygen and then you get alot more branching on the roots.
