If I'm being honest, I pretty much smoke all my stuff harvest to harvest, so I'm not really sitting on "packs" the way I envisioned growing would be  i just don't hold stuff long enough to "cure" typically. On the odd chance that i do, I do find that the cured stuff is very mellowed out, making fresher herb seem "carbonated" by comparison.

Tell ya what, I want it all, good tasting booze, (Honey Jack!) good ass tasty buds, with a mule kick, you'll have to grow that! my fofo coffee, which I quit drinking, everything for me is Flavor, and my Sweet ass Woman! fresh weed taste so much better to me ultimate flavor, organic too, when its cured for a year long its a good buzz but its a little to smooth for taste, so just smoke it up, when ready to be jared i sample i would think most do,
30 days perfect, for me! hopefully have enough from the previous grow to help the cure!

I prefer weed thats been dried properly in the first place. I prefer freshly/properly dried weed myself. I also prefer strains that blast your lungs, takes them out, and shows them to you. AKA Expando weed. All the best weed I smoked back in the late 60s, and 70s would make you cough your brains out, and make your eyes bleed. Also got real deal Nepali Temple Ball Hash, and you better believe it would make you cough your brains out. All the best hash would also make you cough your brains out. But the best I ever saw was Temple Balls from 1970. Not to mention the vast majority of weed, and hash, would give you terrible munchies, have a hard comedown, and you could go to sleep after raiding the fridge, and wake up still stoned, eyes red, and looking for more munchies. And all the best weed had a great taste. Even if alot of it was loaded with seeds. Some of the best weed I ever smoked was loaded with seeds.

You guys are all tripping. The craziest thing about the cannabis grower community is how confident everyone is that their way of growing is THE way to grow. Some of you have more confidence in your way of growing cannabis than me on being alive in the next hour.
YOLO bro.

LMAO I remember back in the day when "chest expansion" was a maaaaajor selling point for greenbud  lol, I don't miss those days. I do agree though, some of the best flower I've ever smoked had a notable amount of seeds in them.

Im not explicitly talking about green bud.

Im talking all of the old landraces. Vietnamese, Santa Marta Gold, Columbian Red, and Gold. Oaxacan, Acapulco Gold, Michoacan, Panama Red. All old 60s- 70s strains. ALL of the best of it would make you cough your brains out. I startd smoking weed in 1967, and all of the best of it would make you cough, and expand in your lungs.

I like a nice mild hit but hey you like what you like aint no right or wrong.

Also, nothing wrong with seeded bud, just an added step to clean. But hey, what were double albums really made for lol?

In my experience, it’s very dependent on genetics and how slow the flower is dried. Had some things in jars for a few years that smells as strong and smokes as good as anything. Also have stuff that doesn’t hold as well long-term. It all fades gold/brown eventually, and the smell will mature, but most retain oils and good flavor well into the 2-year range.

Sunrise Thai x Chocolope (AKBB) flowered for 14 weeks, slow dried for 1 month, aged 16 months in a jar, will give you the shakes, no ceiling. Smells incredible like tropical fruits, exotic wood, chocolate, and spice. 8/10 on aroma intensity.

WFxTK from CSI. Flowered 10-11 weeks, slow dried for a month, aged about 12-14 months in a jar. Smoooth refined favor and very satisfying effects. Resin ring like you dipped 1” of your J into some honey. Aroma intensity 7/10.

CBD Warlock from Serious Seeds. I’ve never had any of this get too dry, it stays greasy. Gums up the grinder even after 15 months in a jar. Aroma intensity 9/10. Seriously special, this one.

I’ve rarely experienced good flower going “bad” from proper long-term storage. As with everything, ymmv.

I prefer fresh, as soon as it's dried it's ready to go IMHO. I only have so many jars, so once they are full the oldest and/or least desirable gets tossed into edibles/hash.
