bought a gorilla grow tent 5 days ago, its been ok right up until I put my gavita 1000e in, now I see pin holes everywhere and I mean everywhere, the dongles have been missing on 2 of the duct ports and to make things even better the zip just come of the front of the tent, all within 5 days.
these tents are not only the most expensive but also the most shoddy piece of shit ive ever had to work with, go fuck yourself gorilla.
for what its worth my secret jardins still work fine, 8 years on, don't waste your money on these bullshit gorilla tents, from my experience secret jardin or green qube,
sorry for the rant guys, feel like ive been ripped off

Was that the regular or the 'lite' model? I got a regular one earlier this year and it does have some pin holes.

it was the regular bellcore, there 500 notes here in the uk, hopefully the retailer will let me exchange for something different, as long as its not a gorilla I don't care

One of my friends has a 4x4 by gorilla and he says it herms everything that goes in there. lol at 1st I thought it was something he did wrong. Then I went over and saw pin holes like crazy. Yea, I think I'll stay away from them

there are so may pinholes I couldn't even count them all, luckily I have this in a room that is mostly light tight, you wouldn't be able to run these tents any other way, or sheet the tent out. there not about the quality gorilla

I can tell you that my secret jardin is many years old and still works like a champ. No light leaks and the zipper is 1st rate. Sorry to hear about your tent bro. Maybe the company you got it from could help you out.

any tent i got off ebay (owned 6 tents total 3 were the cheap ones from ebay 3 are secret jardins from amazon)
the ebay tents are crap lasted less then a year

1st one the zipper did not have a stop and one day not thinking i zipped it passed the edge and could not repair (death of that tent as stink control is must with state trooper 30 feet from back door)
2nd was the hanger brackets and the corners ......hitting with UV and 1000w hps weakend them i got lucky as hell can caught the cracking bracket before it fell
3rd was a design nightmare flips on the side over a large mesh screen that would never stay open for passive intake ...the exhaust system was only 6 inches ridged (the flex stuff was a bitch to pull tho ridged was easier) no side upper lvl holes to use for vents 1 lower intake .......so to save this one i throw out the tent and kept the poles taken out the extending 2nd pole making it a 3x3x4 foot now those corners are cracking and leaning one way (only have a t5 2 foot 8 bulb light)...to make sure it would not slip or fall the cross bar is a secret jardins and i used mason line to lash it down too

even when i get a house i plan to keep using the tents .......it allows me to controll just one area with AC/Co2 but i can run any pattern i want with tents

There isnt a tent out there thats 100%. And thats a fact. There best for veg where the photoperiod is not critical. Or if you plan on flowering in them the room or area they are in should be at least dim with no direct sources of light like a light bulb. If thats not possible be prepared to get the duct tape out. Contrary to popular belief total complete darkness for 12 hours is not necessary. Sure the darker the better but its very difficult to achieve total darkness with or without a tent. The whole hermie issue because of very small light leaks is ridiculous in my opinion.

huh .......u can get complete darkness working with a powered intake using a filter and ducting with a S bend....just make sure the exhaust cfm is 80 100cfms more to keep negative pressure for smell control .....as for the exhaust itself it has no light but the one it is venting for

a good tent comes with inner overlapping pieces of fabric to make the zippers light proof as for the vents they are good with the right placement/pressure to seal those up and the inlets are double side drawl strings with about 4/6 inches of 8 inch dia tent materials on 2 sides

running say a 25x30x8 room i like 5x5 for 4 plants
i can set of cycle of 4 tents 4 plants each in 1 room using 4 tents 3 ton mini split and a Co2 burner hooked into the NG of the house (10 burner)
the intakes of the tents will drawl in the Co2 lvls and with the system just dumping carbon scrubbed air back into the room the minisplit cooling .....just keep the controller of the co2 burner mid point in room and decent high lvl for the plants to be bathed all in co2 .......LED lights so the thermal signal is low ....in a fully underground basement (all sides talking with cellar doors outside )

and still leaves me room for starting and drying everything in that one room .........the only issue is the water from the dehumidifier in the mini split that will set off dogs

Again no grow tent on the market is completely light proof. Dont try and explain to me about tents. I know all about them. They are not and will probably never be 100%. Its just the nature of the materials and how they are constructed. Have a great day

Your thinking out loud rite? About how you might set up a grow in the near future correct? I used to that alot. I used to sit on the toilet back in the day and just run every single little detail in my head on growroom construction. Its fun isnt it?
