Another are they ready thread

I know there are lots of these threads asking if the buds are ready or not but since not many are looking at my grow diary I figured it wouldn't harm to ask in here as well.

These have been flowering for 11 weeks now and they are some Mexican sativa from oaxaca. I know they are probably not ready but I still would like to get an opinion from the many people that have experience in here.

This is my first grow so a little knowledge from more experienced people can really help :)

so here they are....

PS fdd are you going to write that FAQ about harvest and such?

I reckon you got two weeks left on those, from as much as i can make out from the photos. it could be longer. but i would say two weeks at least.

They look like your trying to grow sativas with low powered lights to me that probably have little red in the spectrum, this always takes longer with sativas in my exp anyway.
I would say another 2-3 weeks and deny them high nitrogen feeds and let them dry out a bit:blsmoke:

yep I am trying to grow sativa with just a 250hps and 125 ecolight and yes it was all a bit out of control but I think it's pretty much working ok now.
I couldn't get a bigger light because of the space and ventilation wasn't sorted at the time. I am still well chuffed at how they are coming along.
Are you saying they look bad?

For a first grow your doing just fine, sativas are not easy to grow well indoors in my opinion anyway especially for an inexperienced grower with poor lighting,if i was forced to criticize them i would say that your slightly overfeeding and over watering them and that there is to much nitrogen available to them which is what is probably causing the high amount of warped leaf growth in the bud:blsmoke:

Hey thanks for the reply,
I was overfeeding them for quite a long time ppm has been around [email protected] for the last 4 weeks and the plants like it better I might try and go even lower and see what they'll do. I am using the lucas formula is that high in nitrogen?
Also the plants are in dwc how can they be overwatered?

I know nothing of dwc growing so i cannot comment,i say overwatering due to the warped leaves but this may also be due to a high nitrogen content.
When im flowering sativas i always lower the nitro as low as possible.
I am growing in soil so its all different anyway and i know nothing of lucas formula either so i cant help you with that either, except to say read the bottle and look for the N.P.K. content,if the N is a high value then its not good imo for flowering time.
Here are 2 pics of my current sativa at 7 weeks old from seed.

ok I'll have a look at the N content when I get home.
my plants have gone through hell and back though one of the reasons why they look like that :( if you have a look at my diary in the signature you'll see.
They are probably suffering because of the lack of space too.
definitely not the right strain either for a first grow or indeed for a closet grow.
I hope I will get some decent smoke out of it anyway, what do you reckon?

You've done great for a first grow under low powered lights with a sativa, boost the P&K factors reduce nitrogen and keep them a little drier, never spray them, ever, and you should have some plenty good enough smoke:blsmoke:
