Another first CFL grow

whats up folks? my girl has been doing good, no sign of sex yet though. she is 6 weeks and 2 days today, with 5 days of 12/12 under her belt. hopefully she will show sex in the next week. as long as she has gone though, and the way everyone talks about males showing sign first, i am confident she will come out a she. I will update with some pic's in a couple o days, shes big, as you can tell from my last update. peace y'all.

They will take with 14 days of 12/12 to show sex, so she should show soon lol, too many S words but yea she looks great, i tried to comment yesterday but RIU is acting all weird for me, cant wait to see buds, i personally think you got a female :weed:

thanks, i think that too, just a gut. i have grown a few outdoors, and most were males. i had one male show sex in like may, and the other in june. my only outdoor female didnt seem to show sex until the end of july beginning of August.

yeah, RIU is on the fritz, hope they get it worked out ok. maybe someone just needs to throw the RIU mods a bag'o'weed and let everything smooth out!!

should i give my plant another feeding of veg nutes since there have been no signs of sex yet? she has been in 12/12 almost a week. i have read where people have to give veg nutes during flower and bud growth for defiencies and so forth.

oh, and my last 1 or 2 waterings have been plain water, and i water about twice a week.

As soon as I went 12/12 I started flower nutes, It took 9 days for me to finally see sex, then they started going hard.

I think you got another week before she shows sex. It usually takes two weeks before they do, just be patient until then and don't feed her veg nutes just stick with the flowering nutes and every other watering feed her plain water.

You wait until the soil is dry before watering right? Just making sure you don't over water, it doesn't look like you do from the pics I'm just lookin out for ya bro. Keep up the good work! :weed:

Thanks SpaceMonkeyMan, i am expecting next weekend. today is 1st full week of flower. I havent fed her flower nutes yet. i have to got a few shops I want to go and look at for good nutes. I do check the soil when I water. I normally end up with a full index finger dry down in the soil b4 she gets it, thanks for look'n out though.

Yeah, the wait is killer, i really dont want a boy... I live in a house with 2 women and a female dog, so it would only be fitting to have nothing but women under my feet :weed:

I cant either!!

I do see more growth appearing in the areas where the pistils will show and I have noticed looking at plants on RIU is that they show male VERY fast once this growth appears, but that is only my observation... We will all know soon, stay tuned

well its a boy :sad:

i had to take some last pics to show everyone how big the plant had got before he showed. the ones that are real bushy are where I took the stakes out of pinned down branches. It could have been a beautiful girl, to bad it grew balls ;-)

stay tuned cuz I plan to start another by christmas, but I have a few things to gather first. i have learned a lot from this grow and all of you. I am gonna start 2 next time, and use the 8" tall x 6" wide foldgers coffee containers. i think it will be awesome!

Sorry about the boy. The plant was looking so good after you got it into 18/6 and 12/12 schedules. I've never used 24/0 as I consider it to be very unnatural...the only places on earth that have natural 24/0 lighting at any time during the year are the north and south poles...and our fav plant doesn't grow there. I recommend you avoid 24/0 on your next grow. Peace :leaf:
