Anyone have info about big sur holy weed

Well after that last post i made i am not sure if the lighting does make a difference or not to sex.
All though i thought i had all males on the indica i had 1 female that looked like it was gonna be male and 1 im not sure of,still waiting.
I also used the light to veg the pppxbluexsat and that has given me 4 good females and 1 scabby one out of 10.

So the 50/50 ratio.
I don't really know if it does affect them or not.
Having said all that i am still going to go back to vegging with blue light just because if nothing else it gives better leaf growth in veg:blsmoke:

yea i think for a range of reasons vegging with mh is the best but as for tighter node spacing i feel my hps has done ok with creating tight little plants? I also have my hps 400 set up in a very small space so very little light is lost.
Question for ya nat i have never grown a clone with sucess do you think the red vegging light has anything to do with that? I think i am just doing something wrong but my last batch looks like i may get a few from it!
I will eventualy get the conversion bulb that i should have for vegging, possibly next indoor growing season?

the first two pics are most of the big sur plants one confermed male so far.

the last pic is everything in the veg box before i transplanted, wish pic downloaded faster:) i finaly got my first 11 clones to root with 20 more right behind it. i hope to get another ten or so cause i still have some dye on me:(

thanks bwinn!!! nice to see you also my plants are still having some issues and i think overwatering is the main problem:( some of the big surs are huge and others are a bit stunted. Just transplanted everyone and they are looking alot better

well all of the smaller plants that have no buds on them are big sur they look alot better and everyone got a transplant this afternoon. Cant wait to see what the buds are gonna look like!!!! in the veg box (yellow pics) things are looking better and i think the transplant will make a world of diffrence

shit first and last are the veg box before and then after transplanting and the middle two are the bs plants that are in the bud box. The middle one is the blizzard and the yellow one is mama not Big sur

Did you try leaching the soil and increasing the nitrogen for your yellowy looking plants?

well nat i got so frustrated witht he big ol pot takin up roomand not growing i chopped her down. Thought about flushing but the bottom of the pot was soooooo wet. All of the yellow ones had soggy soil on the bottom. Now i am waiting till the plants are super dry and it seems to be working things are lookin great!!! Pics tomarrow thanks for stoppin natmoon

o yea i forgot to say i know two are ladies!!!! One is male but i am going to save the males to bread if the smoke is good!!! I moved four more into the bud box and the veg box is now a little less crowded

things are looking up around the grow erea now that a good transplant has happened. I feel bad for stressing them out but i have a few definate females of the big sur. most of what isnt covered in bud and looks smaller is new in the box. I wanted to wait longer but i went a little overboard with the clones and the veg box is running out of room veg box pics are next

the last pic is the bs clones i took like four days ago

well here are a few i had to throw one more budding pic in:) The cloning box i use is also in one of the pics i had a bigger one but for some reason i used this box peat pellets clonex and all of my clones are now taking. The bs clones look good and almost no wilt!!!!

this box is not recovering from the problems as fast as the bud box. Wish i had room to grow a huge bs bush but summer is right around the corner i hope to have some of these for outside!!!

What a interesting way to look at it...read this earlier and had to marinate on it a bit...pretty cool that you will be able to smoke a 13 year old strain. With what I have seen of your plants, you should end up with some beautiful, buds from the 90's....neat.

I hope that i get something worth seeding out of this not sure if i will ever have the balls to buy seeds so has anyone ever tried setting up a super small erea to set up a space to breed super small clones. you know what i mean clone males and females and let them breed in a seperate grow space, then i can get seeds without having them hold up harvest to get them ripe.
