Anyone know of a place that sells the glass reflector covers?

I just bought a 26"x37" reflector and the damn glass in it was shattered when delivered. I need the hood now so was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to get the glass sheet at?

Find out the manufacturer of your hood. Most company's sell replacement glass. But if you bought a chineese cheapo then you might be SOL.

i know what you're talking about, but i'm not sure if the glass in a reflector is normal glass or heat tempured or anything like that to deal with the heat from a light or not..

when i got my hood, i got it from an in store display, so it came with no glass too.. i just figured out the brand and model of the hood and googled it and came up with a few hydro stores that sold what i was looking for...

it was surprisingly cheap imo as well, less then $20 if memory serves me right.. :)

The glass in a hood is made of "Tempered Glass", like in the door of your car. Once tempered it's size can't be altered.
You can take your hood into any glass shop and they can measure and order a replacement for you.
Should you give your own measurements and make a mistake, it'll be sorry bout your luck so measure twice. .

Ugg I just went through this at the beginning of my grow, I dropped and broke my tempered glass for my hood. I went to a local glass cutting shop and if you want same day glass it wont be tempered, and it doesnt really matter all that tempered glass does is doesnt break into sharp jagged pieces when its broken it just shatters and is easy to clean up and very safe ( glass that isnt tempered is bad its very sharp) thats the only difference, anyways the glass shop did a decent job on my glass but it still didnt fit it was like 1/8 of a inch off and I couldnt even close the hood.. You can buy the tempered replacement glass from most good grow stores you can even get it online, however I went to a pretty good grow shop here in Phoenix and the dude was mass cool he took the glass out of a brand new grow hood kit and sold it to me for 20 bucks. Good luck

like a 5 dollar difference I think I payed like 15 bucks at the glass shop and like 20 bucks + tax from the grow store.. You can find the replacement glass for your hood if it's not a cheap no name china one.. I have the yield master 2 so it was easy finding it. Just google the make and model of your hood for instance : " yield master 2 replacement glass"

yah, that's how i found mine.. i first had to figure out what model it was, but i just went on the hydrofarm site and found the one that looked like mine, then after figuring out the model, just did the same thing, googled the model and replacement glass for it..

got mine shipped in the mail and it got to me perfectly fine... :)

I went ahead and ordered a new sheet of tempered glass off a website (80 bucks). I also told the place I purchased it offline to send me a new glass. So I have two glasses that are suppose to be here late next week. But my grow needs them now! dammit!

Temperd glass must be ordered to size and put thru tempering ovens. That's not something your corner glass shop is equipped to do. Tempered can also withstand higher temperatures and should it break, will break into small beads rather than jagged pieces that can cut you.

It's your world, but were it mine, I'd go ahead and order the tempered. It should be under $30

good one. At the time that I ordered the tempered glass offline for 80 bucks the hydro shop would not return my calls and was being sketchy. So I ordered it, then sure enough the hydro shop got ahold of me. It's bad timing but shit happens.
