Aphids and spidermites

Okay I'm on my third grow now. My plants are still very small not much vertical growth at all just wide growth. I have a lot new growth that looks good. However they are definitely stunted. I noticed a some tiny spider web looking things on them which I believe to be a sign of spider mites. Also have these little blackish/gray bugs with wings that seem to be a lot of running around on the foliage and a lot running around in the soil. I believe these to be Aphids.

I was wondering what I can do about this. I know on my first grow I had a small bug problem but turned badly when someone gave me advice to put dish soap water and vinegar together and spray on foliage. The vinegar killed 2 of them and luckily i revived the rest. I've heard dish soap and water do work well though can anyone in detail tell me how they have overcome these problems without pesticides or something I can try that will not hurt my plants and remove the bug problem.

I have several clones from a friend I want to bring to my grow room but do not want them to inherit this bug problem so any help would be greatly appreciated. I started germination of these plants on Sept. 12th they are only about 3-4" 's in height and are on their 5th 6 set of leaves with new growth coming in they are just not growing vertical yet and I feel my first 2 grows that they were much larger and growing more rapid the first go around. Thanks in advance.

You'll need to bomb your grow room with Dr Doom or something similar and spray plants a few times with Azmat or something similar.

I use Hot Shot No Pest strips to prevent such occurrences. Sorry to hear your plight, but I hope you nail them bastards.

The Dr. Doom bug bombs are these safe for my plants? Like I can just let them off in the room and keep the doors closed and should do the trick? Will my plants suffer any from these bug bombs?

Read the label and follow directions. If I was going to spray my plants, I would bomb the grow room separately. Prolonged exposure to the bomb may harm the plants. But bombing will insure your grow room is sanitized. The plants can be dipped or sprayed, but more than likely will need 3 applications.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to remove the plants and bomb the room and pick up some pesticides and also going to pick up that Hot shot no pest strips those work as they are described. After resolving the issue they should help from a repeat. Must be the soil, I cleaned the grow room with a water bleach mix before starting.

Thanks everyone will let you know how it works out.
