Aphids, Thrips, and "Organic Insecticide"

Alrighty, here's the low-down...

I've pretty positively identified the early signs of a Thrips infestation in my plants, so my current plan of attack is to kill them asap. I've been told Lady Bugs would help with the Thrips, but unfortunately they're a little hard to find in my area this year, so I've turned to the prospect of chemical intervention.

When my wife and I were browsing through Home Depot looking for Neem oil, we came across this brand of insecticide and fungus killer that makes some interesting claims...

... now I found the active ingredients section of the advertisement rather amusing and slightly strange (like how 99% of the solution is considered "Other ingredients"), but I also noticed the Mineral Oil and Octadecenoic Acid Potassium Salt.

What do you guys think about these claims? Will this take care of the bug problem? Is it safe/smart to use it on my plants? The bottle advertises that it will specifically kill Thrips and Aphids. Will it kill my plants too? D: lol

thrips freak me out; there so gross

yea it should work man, good luck
Lol I hear ya. The wife and I were out on a walk by this river nearby and I found a lady bug hanging out on a tall blade of wheat grass. I snapped off the piece of grass and was checking out the little guy for a minute in my hand when I saw it digging in the plant. To my surprise, out popped a little white grub looking bug and sure enough, the lady bug was all over it in a heart beat. I have a hell of a lot more respect for them now LOL, they're beasts! I wish I could use them to eradicate my Thrips.

whats the active constitute on your organic insecticide? it should say on the front of the bottle in ML. your best bet would be to get some pyrethium spray , neem is okay tho but i believe it has a long residuel life where is pyrethium breaks down quickly under light.
