It is best to check by Trics but when the hairs start to receed and turn orange/brownish they are getting ripe but like i said trics is the best way to know for sure

hey solarguy, thanks for posting and the pics. Lots of people here are looking for results from LED I'm sure. How about some more info on your grow: How long veg/flower so far? What are you using for LEDs?
Judging from some of your pictures, it is clear that one can get plants to grow under LED. But, even your most prolific buds don't appear to come close to what is acheivable with HIDs. This is no surprise of course, but then your grow probably cost next to nothing.

i am using the Haight Solid State ppf-800, i switched to 2 of them once i started to flower and i am veging with one Haight Solid State ppf-400...

check it out here i am going to be adding stuff and cool info within the next 30 mins

yea and my cost is nothing, besides the upfront cost....50,000 hours plus with these lights, no fans, no heat, long easy life very simple design...dont have to water as much bc of less heat.

You may want to add a reptile light or two in there for the last few weeks. LED's produce NO UV-B. The more UV-B you have the more THC you will produce. You can use MH bulbs as well. Just make sure you don't have them in an air-cooled reflector as the UV-B radiation won't pass through the glass. LED's are cool but you can't grow great bud under just LED's. Two biggest problems is no far red spectrum so you get to much shading and internode spacing can be too close. Also no UV-B spectrum so lower THC levels than with it.. The difference is very noticeable.. Good luck...

Bulldog, that is not entierly true. have you checked out GrowlLED? www.ledgrowlight.com, to me they make the Mercedes-Benz of LED lights, they are the Only company that uses high owered UV-B LED's in their units. I use them from Veg to Flower, and I have amazing results.
640W LED from Growl w/ IR and UV-B, Lemon Skunk strain from Jordan of the Isles, 1 & 1/2 weeks before it was harvested.

Those plants have 3-4 weeks more to go I'm afraid. I grew under LED and that stem with partial buds on it was what mine looked like on Oct 16th, about a month ago and mine is still not ripe. I switched to 600 HPs to finish them off. I'd say you have been in flowering for about 5 weeks (not 12/12, but actual flowering) and you have 3-4 weeks left from my experience...

And the Haight Solid State lights which i am using are bad ass...i have two ppf=800 and they kick ass, alot cheaper per watt than the growlLed abd they are constructed better with no fans...i believe this light will last a lot longer. They also use 6 watt wide angle bulbs which provides deep enough penetration to where my bottom leaves gave 5 healthy tips and and its wide enough to provide Even coverage. Haight Solid State recommended 1 ppf 800 for a 4x4 area and i use 2 just to provide massive buds.

100watts for 399.99 with GROWlLED VS the Haight Solid State at 180 watts for 420.00....read about the Haight Solid States, these guys are bad ass....

They're not necessarily haters per se, maybe a better word is uneducated or not informed. I don't understand why JoC and others that dislike LEDs even bother to open and read these threads when LED is in the subject line. The only reason would be to spread grief is my guess.....

are these ready for harvest yet....? it looks like half of the hairs are turning brownish but they are still long and white in a lot of spots...what should i do?

also i am using FFOF soil and FoxFarm nutrients including solubles. On the schedule it says nothing about flushing, should i flush? if so when?

Those are definitely looking good, but not done yet. Not sure how plants respond to LED light, but I see no reason why maturity would not follow the same timeline as regular HID or sunlight. At some point, pistils should stop growing and you should see very few white ones, with most dried and "sucked back" into the calyx. This is the point you are waiting for. If you are able see the trichomes (trich scope, loupe) you want to see them cloudy with a few amber. Some folks wait for a lot of amber, but I feel that is a little late IMO.

Fox Farm doesn't have flushing in its schedule, but in general you want to feed with plain water for the last one to two weeks. At some point, either in the beginning or toward the middle of plain water feeding, you also want to rinse the soil with plain water by running 2-3 times the soil volume of water through.
