Fran read up on Cree stock. They repurchased shares. That's why the price dropped to $20. I think there was a split. Its been steadily climbing. Cree owns like 13% of another lighting company going public this month. I forget the name of the company. Its out of Taiwan I think. They have rights to crees proprietary designs. So cree will make a killing and their stock will continue to climb. Cree also has been suing lighting companies left and right for copyright infringement.
A repurchase limits supply and RAISES price, not lowers it. Unless your company suks, then the price goes down any way. See this for the stock performance, dismal.

$70 to $30 in a year isn't good for a shareholder.

Whats everyone's opinion? I have a 5x5x7 tent and I will be doing a hybrid light grow. I plan on using one 400 watt hps bulb with an area 51 rw-150 or two rw-75. Should I get one rw-150 or two rw-75?

I've already got the Hps light from a previous grow and I am upgrading to a bigger growing area. However, I don't want to use much more power than my previous grow which is why Im opting this hps/led combo.

I favor a spread over penetration and your working with a large space so perhaps the hps in the middle with two 75's on the sides of it would be the better choice of the two.
Perfect. Just what I was thinking. I'll be harvesting really soon and switching to this setup thereafter.

I meant scrog or regular grow. That's not near enough light for that size space. If it was all HPS you would need around 1200 watts minimum and if it was all area 51 LED you would need at least 620 watts.

Regular grow. I don't disagree. Everything I read says I need between 800 watts hps to 1200 watts. I was settling on the lower spectrum. I wax planning on using a good bulb like the hortilux hps with 47000 lumens since wattage is a little low to help make up for it.

Real problem is my circuit breaker will blow if I use any more power

I have set up two 5x5 tents with Area 51's,one has 4 XGS's and the other has 4 RW-150's. You just can't cover that space with so little light,if you try you'll end up with a tent full of fluffy buds. The other problem is blending the mix of HPS and LED,I would rotate the plants around the space daily. Better to try and cover a smaller part of the tent with more light. Do you have any DIY skills?

No time for DIY. And yes I totally plan on rotating plants around. I read it's actually good to mix both led and hps and that it can yield more. Is this not true?
I'll take this into consideration about not enough lights. I may end up getting 4 rw75 around the hps. I just need to get two at a time. I can get the last two before I flip to 12/12. The goal is to be easy on the circuit because I have problems with it.

The A51 LEDs have a better spectrum than the HPS and are more efficient. You could cover a 4x4 area pretty well with the 400 HPS and 4 RW-75's but I think it will be lacking for 5x5.
