Hey Folks,
I have a few questions about lights that I'm hoping may be answered here. I am using a 4'x4'x6' grow tent, and my plants are about 39 days into flowering. I started out with one Bestva 1000w LED (for 3 x White Widow Auto's, and 1 Early Miss Auto, *Promix HP*, 7 gallon pots) and used it from seedling well into veg. I then purchased a second Bestva 1000w LED and turned it on just before the plants started to flower.
I have had great results with the 2 x Bestva 1000W working together for this grow, but I'm only growing 4 plants in my 4x4 tent. Ideally I would like to purchase another light, or lights, and try for 9 smaller plants (in 5 gallon pots) in my 4'x4' tent, LST'd and scrog'd. Since I've had great results so far, I was thinking of buying a Bestva 2000W to add to the 2 x 1000w's I'm already using, because I can't seem to beat the price and I've already had good results with my first two lights, but I'm not sure if that's the right move. So, on to the questions!
1) Does anyone have experience using 2 x 1000W Bestva's in conjunction with a 2000w LED in a 4x4 tent?
2) Would I be wasting light by adding the 2000W into my tent due to light coverage potentially hitting the tent walls?
3) Would I be better off buying 2 more 1000w lights, for a total of 4 x 1000W's and hanging them in a square configuration slightly apart from each other?
4) Is Bestva a worth while brand to continue investing in for my DIY hobby grow, or am I better off investing in a more professional LED system? (Keeping costs in mind....)
5) Am I foolish for thinking I can squeeze 9 plants into a 4x4 tent, would I be better off starting a second 4x4 tent?
6) I also have a 600w Philzon that I was planning to use for seedlings/clones in a 2'x2' tent, is that enough light for the first 3/4 weeks of a plants life?
In closing, I have scoured this site for years, and learned a lot reading about the experiences of others. I do know that most LED light wattage as advertised is "equivalent" wattage, and even then it's over exaggerated. Without diving too deep into those calculations, I'm wondering what would be an ideal LED light setup in a 4'x4' tent to maximize yield, while incorporating the lights I already have, without breaking my budget.
Any feedback, comments, experience, or links will be much appreciated!
Thanks RIU!
