Athena Ag Nutrients

I switched Athena blended bc i mix 10 gallon rez and dont want to keep a stock solution. I use their calmag and cleanse. I use Psi and Psi flower. Ill use CAPs Foliar only if I see something wrong. And THATS IT! I dont use anything else. Now i have the best buds ive ever grown, no joke, and its WAY easier. Ive run H&G and AN and had way more problems and no consistency. I recently ran recharge on four plant and four plants with out side by side and there was ZERO difference in terps or yeild for me and ive been smoking over 40 years. I grow in coco and soil is a different ballgame. Most of the top production grows that have that fire Sundae Driver and so on are not using Recharge or Roots Excel. Trust me. When i quit worrying what the best kelp or root stimulator was and just went Base A & B and started really focusing on my environment my quality went through the roof. My friend uses all that crap i used to use and he cant accept that is the reason why my grows are always better quality. He says its my lights or watering frequency. Buts less is more in coco. Focus on your VPD and environment consistency and simplify your recipe and I promise your quality will improve. Weed is not a complicated plant.
Can you share which order you mix nutes I just purchased the Athena blended line and power si and was wondering which order to mix

I want to start using athena pro-line, but I have doubts how many waterings are given a day or wait until the coconut was a little dry to water again? i imagine that manual irrigation can be used

I use regular silica which I add first, followed by grow or bloom, then core, then I add my micro life products. It helps to dissolve the core with some water in a cup first. The bloom and veg readily dissolves when u add to your rez but the core not so much

I believe the Athena Pro-Line feed schedule was designed by the jungle boys using rockwool I would listen to them and not add anything I'm running Coco with no additives except for spraying power SI once a week along with stack and IPM. I've been pretty happy with the results here's a nug of more cowbell grown with Pro-Line no additives.

Has anyone tried athena with a product like Overdrive? I know for sure overdrive really makes buds swell up at the end like crazy just curious with athena.

It is just more overpriced repackaged chemical salts. They have a product on their website they call "Core" 14-0-0. It just calcium nitrate and a couple micronutrients. They want $110 for ten pounds. You can buy 50 pounds of calcium nitrate ten and the micronutrients for less than what AG wants for ten pounds. All of their products are the same. Just basic salts mixed up and resold for ridiculous prices.
Smart move from a business standpoint. It keeps the laymen from just buying 50# Yara or Haifa Calnit at 1/10th the price.

Its just some minerals and thats about it in OD, plants swell late anyhow but fat mike from advanced nutrients makes out its OD causing this.
He sells Kushy Kush too, do you think this will make the kush strain grow any better?

Hey I’m new on here what’s up everyone. I used to go to hydroponic stores and get like 18 different nutrients because someone told me it was the magic “recipe” to hit weight. Cost me about 2400 a run. the shelf life on some of the nutrients i was using was ridiculously short after opening the container. Plus it was annoying as hell calculating and mixing 12 different nutrients (from 5 different brands) then making sure the PPM level and PH were perfect. If not I’d add more nutrients or water down my concoction.

Fact of the matter is that most nutrient brands spend more on water, marketing and packaging than actual nutrient. They sell us one product in 8 different bottles. They might work but ask yourself “am I a little hobby grower” or “am I a farmer”. And if you’re a farmer than you’d know a farmer doesn’t buy 18 different nutrients for his crop. He buys a select few of quality nutrients. I’m sure the farmer is not buying liquid nutrients in 5 gallon containers for his crop so why would a commercial grower ? It’s not likely.

I was following some commercial growers on Instagram and i kept seeing Athena bottles in the background. I did some research and liked what I saw. I wanted something Strong, affordable, and simple. So I got Athena pro line 25lb core, bloom, and veg (cost 460$) at hydro store in town. I also got a 25lb bag of azos (250$) and 20 lb bag of Wallace wonder innoulcant (200 on Amazon) for my root system. I don’t want to get into the calculations but I’d say Athena would last me 5 times longer than using what I was before (All top of the line hydro products) at a fraction of the price. I just followed their “normal” schedule. It’s 3 grams of veg and 5 grams for bloom per gallon. There’s 11250 grams in the 25lb bottle.

Upsides : Affordable, strong, same results or better
Downside: accessibility, SOLUBILITY. You have to get really warm water and mix core for like a minute to get it completely mixed

Bottom line. It’s mostly all the same crap. All those companies get their products from the same manufacturers. The guy at your hydro store will never tell you that because he’s banking off people like you who come in and spend thousands on stuff you don’t really need. Look for something good, simple and cheap.

I've been using the pro line for a good while. It's quality stuff 0 complaints. I make 5 gallon buckets worth at a time then dump in my res. Never had any problems.

I know this is an old thread but what ppm/ec are you running the athena at during the transplant phase of first putting clone into system?
