Attic Setup ??

Hi There, I have a triangler space of approx 8' w at bottom X 6' h X 24" at top in my attic. I live in a colder climate with winter just around the corner where temp's can drop to minus 20 in Jan/Feb. I will be constructing the space with plywood and insulation with Mylar on the interior. I have just discovered that where the floor of my space there is an existing bathroom exhaust fan to which I was hoping to use? I will try and raise it as high as I can but maybe be able to only get a foot or so from the inside of floor. I was thinking of using a 430 Watt Son Argo HPS. Now for the air in. Will a 4" muffin fan be good enough? Just not sure about bringing in that cold of air in the winter months. Might need a space heater. I will also have a small ordinarie fan cirulating in the room at all times. Hoping to get 15-20 plants. What do you think?

Mr I Can Do That For Half
So the vent from your bathroom empties into the attic (hopefully not ) or does it go out the roof as it should? also 15-20 plants it 8 ffet wide by how many feet long also 1 430 light will be pushing it for 20 plants.Keep them short ad lilooipoped.Cold air might be good depend on the ares temps. It gets close to 60 below here in the midwest in jan feb so I know the feeling.

Correct it vents out the soffit. The space is hard to discribe picture a triangle where the bottom is 8' wide and the top will narrow out at 2'. I'm thing 6' deep three trusses. And the hieght at the highest point in the middle of course is around 6'.

One more thing. I will be using clones so depending on the height my question is that when I switch over to the flowering stage after I have determind the height do they still grow taller during that phase? IE. 2' tall switch to flowering and by harvest they are 4'?

That might get you there, depending on the strain. I usually start flowering before my plants get that tall. WW finishes at 3 to 3 1/2'. VV

Your space is triangular with a 6 ft peak height, in the attic with a nearby bathroom exhaust, with winter approaching. This first of all isn't optimum conditions. Since you are using clones, hoping you have taken care of temperature issues, in that small space i would veg till they are a foot tall after being topped. Then flip to 12/12, and hope you can keep it warm enough to last through the night.

He can get heat to the space if he builds walls and insulates it properly, with proper ventilation around the outside of the space by just letting heated air into the space from the house that is below it. Lots of folks have built 'knee wall' rooms in spaces just like his. VV

dont wana sketch u out, but i know someone who got raided because a police chopper happened to goover their house and noticed the high heat in their attich on their infa red cameras. Cannabis plants are warm plants themselves plus the heat from you lights.

sorry i just get scared haha
