I agree that apathy can cause poverty. If you say that "war" causes poverty, you are pretty much admitting that government initiated aggression can cause poverty. If government initiated aggression can cause poverty, are you in favor of government stopping all aggression or just the aggression you don't approve of?

some aggression may be needed in order to stop the aggression of others. For the record not all governments are the initiated aggressor in a war.

So, a person is minding their own business and somebody that claims authority over them, gives them an edict that they must spend their time or money in a certain way regardless of whether they want to ...which party is the initiator of aggression?

I was minding my own business when my wife comes in and tells me that I need to go buy some dinner. I did not want to go spend money on dinner or the time going to get it. I suggested that she just take something out and cook. She said no and I ended up going to get something from Outback steakhouse. My wife was the aggressor, but I have to admit that steak was pretty damn good. Now can we get back to the other reasons of poverty on my list or shall we keep looking for arguments that are not really there ?

tib you are up early. Got to get out to the coco fields eh.
well tell the cocopuffs hello and get to work on my 8-balls. Planning a blowout weekend with columbian whores and cocaine.
When you own a restaurant that does $250.000.00 US annually in lunch sales alone you will understand what it is like to be productive instead of sucking off your government's teat. Until then, you keep your masters happy and follow their orders slave.

In the time between these two posts, I had 200 customers come through and 1.8 million COP in sales. A slow Miercoles. I do almost twice this much for weekend days.

Can you make 2000 US dollars a day? No of course not. Even sucking dick you could not do this. You are a poor gringo with a simple mind and no capitol to use go improve your life.

It must be terrible to live a poor life and have other people around the world not only hate you because you are a racist imperialist but also throw coins to you because you are poor.

I understand why you are bitter and unhappy and I laugh at you.

It must be difficult for someone in such a poor country to make so much more money than you do and rub it in your smirking pasty white face.

you mean provide for yourself with government help.
Well the USAF did provide me with a career and I still receive a nice check after retiring. You want to hear about the loan I was able to obtain to open my first laundromat. Down the line I was able to get a grant to booster the business. All from the government. Does that make you hate.

wasnt free. i had to pay restitution. i doubt i paid back what they spent but I did plead out to save the taxpayer the trial ;)

Fog I dont have any problem with vets getting money, gi bills etc. I think if you signup to defend the country and are willing to die for it you should be well taken care of the rest of your life. Now I dont think thats what soldiers actually do, protect the country, in anyway other than the abstract. I dont think bombing syria, or going to iraq or afganistan or vietnam or korea was worth the lives and treasure we spent. But one day when the chinese swim over I'm happy to have large tanks beside me as I defend my home. And for that you deserve whatever you need.

It's hard to believe you can make much of a living running laundromats. It must be a tough business. I am not giving you shit here. My compliments.

location location location. You would actually be surprised at how much a you can make. If given the choice between a laundromat and a restaurant. I chose laundromat, because there is no such thing as waste... which means loss of profits. I have nothing to toss out at the end of the night, but customers trying to finish that last load. I do gladly let them stay, to drop more coinage assuring a well dried laundry.;-) Pretty simple business that pays nice with the right location. Now the cleaners is another story. Those things have to build a support base...free extra (heavy) starching usually will do the trick, but a laundry still kicks the cleaners ass.

I do a little more than a quarter million each year for lunch (11-3) from a plaza restaurant. About 400.000 a year total. I pay 68.000 a year in rent and I give food to the poor each day and donate money each month with no tax deduction. I can't see a few coin laundry machines making more money unless gringos are becoming so poor they can't own their own washing machines.

This is reality and remember I live in a "3rd world narco state" according to many people here.

I'd take a coin-op laundromat in America before pushing around your taco cart in Colombia.

Tacos are not food in Colombia. That is the food of La Raza and they will soon own you. I wait to see it happen.

Do not hate me because I can afford to operate my own little empire. It is difficult to swallow but you should be used to it. You are a gringo slave. Never forget that.
