Hi all ! A bit of a question out of left field, but does anyone know of any tobacco seed companies that ship to Australia?
I ordered some on eBay from the Ukraine but none germinated dammit. I've ordered another lot on eBay from a local seller in SA, couldn't give any guarantees tho:

Ok thanks for that. Did the ones from SA pop?

As i said, no local legit seed banks is Oz. Reason is that Cannabis seeds are a Federal Customs offence. But you feel free with them having your details.

Remember the idiot earlier in the year who got done selling seeds in OZ? He kept all his clients details..

"Magistrate Jennifer Tregent, she was surprised he wasn’t charged with obtaining financial advantage by deception. As he was allegedly sourcing 1kg of seeds for $20.99, then selling six seeds for $50, plus $10 shipping." LOL

And when Oz police have names and addresses this stuff happens. https://www.ponderingpot.com.au/vic/victorian-police-seize-millions-in-cannabis-during-a-busy-week-of-raids/

Cash in the mail and a safe addy is the best bet for untrusted local seed sellers. Buying from OS still best way to go ime.

Speaking of "other" types of seeds. Anyone know where one could get some Kratom seeds? Would love to grow a tree or 2

Yes and yes, or just eat the powder wash down with a drink. Like many tropical plants the seeds need to be fresh so would be best to get them fresh or even after they have germed if possible. When you buy shit like brazilian cherry and other tropical seeds they often come in a little baggy with soil and the seed with tap roots already growing.

Good morning people - first time poster so go easy if possible. Currently doing first indoor grow of AK-47 autos from Weedseed Express.
First grow in approx. 25 years due to kids, work, neighbours, rip-offs. Previous grows were outdoor / greenhouse. Anyway - setup is 2 x Spider Farmer SF-4000s, 6" input fan, 6" exhaust fan with carbon filter, 2 x 6" fans above lights and a tower oscillating fan. Lights on daytime temps are around 25 - 30C, at night around 22 - 26C w/lights off (average) - I'm in southern QLD. Humidity 60%. Growing in soil - potting mix, perlight, vermiculite in cloth bags. Running 18 hrs on / 6 hrs off. No nutes for first 2 to 3 weeks, then Bushmans Growth and later Bloom (half strength) with occasional worm juice and Seasol. Using rain water. PH around 6.5.

Germinated and put into 5 gallon / 20 litre cloth bags on 01OCT. Unfortunately couldn't get them in the grow room for first 2 weeks as I was still putting it together. So they were on veranda not getting much light. Also overwatered them early on so they were stunted and only around 15 cm at 4 weeks / 28 days - when they started to flower - refer 1st pic taken 01NOV. Nearly pulled the pin on them to start over but persisted.

They proceeded flower in a hell of a hurry - refer next 3 pics taken 29NOV. Three plants quite similar - around 40 cm and one different, taller - around 60cm and not so advanced flower wise. Any ideas on how far these buggers are away ? Seed seller says 60 days flower but I can't see them going that long. Grateful for any feedback.

the grow sounds cool except the seasol, get some powdered seaweed, and mix it your self, plus try looking at getting a dehumidifier soon

Thanks for the tip. I'm actually thinking about a portable air con w/dehumidifier function to try to get temps down. Once they started flowering and I turned up the lights temps are now 31 - 32C which ain't good. Any ideas on portable air cons ? It's going to up the electricity bill, I know, but I did get a 6.5 Kw solar system installed a couple of months back so that helps somewhat.

i use a little Lg box airon on my grow, been on every summer since 2001:weed:

rather than use its own thermostat, i just plug its lead into a separate thermostat controller, so it can come on and off as required. saves a bit of power

New 6x3 greenhouse is finally taking shape today:

DSCN3079.JPG

Next jobs are:

1. Get pond liner down underneath it.
2. Run string lines to square-up the frame & anchor it down with saddles & tent pegs.
3. Collect some free concrete pavers from a local bloke to create a floor.
4. Run a double-line of bricks around the outside to hold-down the excess shell.
5. Install plastic pallets for free-drainage.
6. Design & construct a low-pressure, timer-controlled watering system from IBC's raised on a stack of pallets.
7. Find a cure for cancer & PTSD.
8. Mow the fucking grass!

Should only take me a few more hours.........
