Hey Farmer I pretty much cut them from the mum and leave them in a bucket with rhizotonic for 10 mins to an hour, depends what I'm up to. then sit them in the actual gel container after you trim and shave and or split or whatever and leave them there for a few minutes while I cut the next batch off the mum and put them in the bucket. After that they go straight into the aerocloner nowadays, so most of the gel is rinsed of in the next half hour but i think enough soaks in to soften it and start absorbing the rhizo. In summer some of my strains are fully rooted in 4-5 days, up to ten in winter but near 100% strike rate. I used to do the same thing up to the point where instead of the aerocloner I put them into presoaked rockwool cubes and into the little clone box wit an inch of moist perlite in the bottom, misting 2-6 times a day and similar strike rate. I fucken love that cloner. you can put in 40 cuts and ignore until you plant them a week or 2 later!

'ome Grown terpenes are certainly a huge factor in smell and taste but as you probably know there is more involved in the type of high than thc or terpenes. You won't nescessarily have to keep changing strains forever. I keep quite a few but really only smoke one when I have the choice. I have been lucky and have a White Rhino mother that I could happily smoke forever. that said I like a change now and then and its wonderfull to be able to choose from different flavours and effects but I always go back to that Rhino with glee. May be talking a little shit, its late and I'm hammered.

I have a friend that is growing 2 wr from ghs...they looked alright to begin with, but then one started looking funky looking...like throwing out a leaf or two that didn't resemble marijuana leaves...

Go Mr Nice. I wouldn't grow anything from ghs mate - even though I am growing their ssh at the moment...it's my first grow.

Cheers

Truth be told guys the best "whites" I've ever had were both Rhinos from Nirvana. Mine is from an '05 pack of 10 regs (all turned out female). She was different to the others and it took 12months to hone in on 1/10 and bin the others but she is a standout. The other of the 2 is a cut from a '95 pack. And they both keep up pound for pound with commercial strains, get most people hammered, smell and taste awesome ('05 cut is becoming local legend) and yeah, a nice balance. Sedating but gentle enough to go all day if you don't over do it and introspective and just grooooooovy!

And last time I checked, Nirvana were again selling at wholesale prices from their own website, worldwide including aus but I don't like the chances of them getting through from there.
