There is still time for it to grow...how much light is it getting per day? That is probably going to be one of the biggest factors whether or not it will get too much bigger.

I have a sativa (SSH) that is in the ground at the moment. Once it got to about 60cm (it was growing on average 1.5 cm per day) I decided to put it into a scrog - it would have otherwise grown out of control and too big for me to realistically keep hidden.

What strain(s) do you have growing?

Cheers

and to note it boys hehe they're chucking on there first bit of girth hehe YESSS i won... :) smiles all round the new seedling mix has stood up to the challenge for those who didn't know i lost 14 of these babys about 2 months ago due to my lack of knowledge of seed propagation... i had a shady start to hydro losing all them beans but a lil R&D lil practice and boom these are off!! i was using a heated propagation tray and humidicrib first time and no luck the kents shrivelled up and went woody in the stem some growers call it damping off a fungal problem which can be treated with fongarid if you have ever wondered what that shit does theres another by yates that don burke swears by but yeh i cant remember the name... seed propagation in my eyes is so faarken fidly... raising seeds correctly is an art form i swear i have no set-backs on any of my propagation now and yeh enjoying the fruits of my labour now hehe but yeh stick with it new fellas!! peace niggahs!

Sorry, Ryan kent, but I have to disagree with you slightly with that statement if you don't mind.

Seed propagation and seed raising does take a little know how, but it is far from an art form, but at times it can be fiddly... I raise all my vegetable and marijuana seedlings outside and have extensive experience with seed raising. Some just don't want to pop. I think that if you have good practice it isn't an issue...however, if you are new to plants then it could be a hassle...as I have found with seeds of all kinds when starting out...

What do you think?

Cheers

PS: bout to spark up an inside out joint...

outdoor i just put em in seed raising mix water them and put em in a semi shady spot so they dont dry out few days later plants pop up. hydro just pop em in paper towel till there about half an inch long then straight into your medium. dont overcomplicate things and u should have success

hmmm i actually put them in a medium size pot of my organic soil then i make a small cup in the middle and fill that with seed mix. maybe thats why its not a problem for me i guess there roots just go straight down and find the good stuff. but the shouldnt need any nutrients for about 2 weeks anyway cause they feed on there waterleaves.

Yo all my homies,

fucken account isues, sorted now. Ryan man they are looking happy as. I have to jump on the seed raising dogpile... Miyagi has had seedling troubles too! In my exp. bagseed esp. sativas will grow from seed in anything. I have bags full of old seed and I'm always amazed when the dried out old fuckers pop and reach for the sky. Most modern strains I've purchased are a little more delicate and a lot of canadian stuff seems to be shit, the worst of which were the Midnight. 4/10 popped and 3 put on their first true leaves and then shrivelled and died. Lucky for me the lone survivor is a sweet smelling purple girl.
I used to use the wet paper towell but you can buy these thingd from bunnings called 'sprouts', they are containers for growing edible sprouts. I bought it for the Mrs and she ate bulk sprouts for weeks then got bored with it. As long as you empty and refill her once or twice a day they grow into 3/4 inch sprouts quick as with moon leaves and early true leaves. Works a treat for me but I grow mostly hyj, although I have put dozens straight from the container to soil and they kick arse.
On a related note, I once bred a ton of seed and left it with a friend to clean and dry. Needless to say he put the bag down, forgot it, found a touch of mould in there and binned them all (2oz of fucken seed). I found one more in some of the bud I had kept from the event. put her in p.towell and waited. 4 days later, mould in p.towell so cleaned and changed. This went on for 2 weeks with no sign of popping so I dipped her in the old clonex, thinking nowt to lose at this point and put her in new damp towell, still coated in gel. A few days later I checked and she had shed the shell, was a couple of inches long and already yellowing, I almost left her too long. Now she is the Mango I pull out when I want to rip cunts heads off!
