Hey guys

Just letting everyone know Im not dead. Sorry I havent been around, my wife and I just had our first baby and life has been super SUPER crazy recently. No more indoor ops for me, but some Diesel Ryders will be going out to the veggie garden asap!! Anyone grown these near their residence outdoors? The smell indoors was insane, Im hoping that the winds outside will disperse it better.

Sorry if I have missed any questions, but I only log on to my computer MAYBE once a day now, and RIU maybe once a week to check PMs. Hope all is well with everyone, and I hope this thread is still helping many people. Ill get some shots of my Diesel Ryders as soon as possible, as long as I dont get nervous and back out. I now have over $1000 worth of lights and supplies that Im too scared to use. Amazing how your reasoning changes when you are responsible for a 6 pound human :)

Peace

I know how it is man, but once you get used to it, all the old stress comes back, that high on life feeling goes away, and you will grow again. Because, my friend, you will need that cannabis more than ever now. Especially as they get older. You just get smarter and even stealthier than you ever were before.

This thread is AWESOME!
so much info on auto flowering.
im only gone thru about 50 pages so far and ive learned a TON.

thought id toss a pic of my current grow.
the strain is Green-O-Matic from greenhouse
this is a relatively new strain, seen a couple grow journals of it. but only one finished so far i think.
this is just one out of 2 plants. but they are basically the exact same.
these are at day 18 from seed. i have tied both down, doing LST.
wanted as much light reaching the growth as possible.
their growth EXPLODED after the first week.
slowing down now, i guess cause its entering flowering.
i can already see the pistils.

She looks rather nice Jakkaru :-)

Ive just got myself 5 lowlife feminised auto ak47 seeds. Gonna give them a try in the greenhouse. This will be my first ever grow, and im both excited and slightly nervous. Although the information in this thread means i certainly feel armed with all the vital knowledge :-)

This is my first grow as well. I decided to go with an autoflower first because they stay super short(which is good since my plants are growing in a pc case). and also becuase i dont have a timer yet, lol.
these things started flowering after just 2 weeks.... amazing.:leaf:

If i get a Hermie autoflower strain and I pollinate, what do I get in the seeds? Anything special? Do I loose the autoflower capability on the next generation?

If i cross a photo period plants pollen with an autoflower what do I get in the seeds?

If i cross a autoflower pollen with a photo period plant what do I get in the seeds?

I'm looking forward to auto AK 47 feminized seeds and I'm betting I'll get some hermis from the bunch and I thought it's might actually give me the opportunity to make seeds and save a bundle buying from the seed bank.

Any input is much appreciated.
If u pollinate a hermi with any thing you get (1) female seeds (2) All of which will be hermies Bad Bad Bad
It takes like 6 to 7 pollinations of an auto to a photo to get an auto. And like wise from photo to auto. Eigther way you'll end up w/an auto.

Alright, so I am looking to grow male and females auto flowering to get a lot of seeds from the first harvest and i was wondering a couple things. 1. Do you let your plants grow longer to make sure your seeds are matured? 2.) What would be the easiest way to remove the seeds without damaging too much of the bud?

You want to pollinate and your worried about bud? You wont have much bud to worry about if you pollinate it properly because most of the calyxes will have seeds in them.

you can pollinate in areas of the plant, just were you want your seeds. that what i do. Take your male out and a way from her and let him grow, i waist till theres a shit load of sacks. some will open. Then put him in a boxs to die. he will drop his pollin, and die. then scrap the pollin up bag it and use were you want. i use a little paint brush, and put it on the buds i want, to produce the seed. This last grow i use 2 different pollins on three different strains. and got seed. I harvested some afgan kush ryder pollin, blue hymalaya pollin, and some white widow pollin. the WW was not a auto. i use some of it on my WW females and northern lights. need to go and put some of it on my lemon skunk. any hoo thats my 2 cents

I have been growing autoflowers since last march. I grow the ak47 x lowlife strain both in and outdoor. you def. need to get foxfarm's GROW BIG , TIGER BLOOM and BIG BLOOM nutrients. they help significantly in my opinion. Once you know the sex start tiger bloom to help branching. this helps alot with yield. once grew without tiger bloom and yield dropped and buds were airy. IIn my opinion , outdoors is the way to go . I had bigger yields and better bud structure. Just watch budrot towards october/september. I start indoors for 2 weeks then throw outside. I dig up about a 2 gallon hole andfill with miracle grow potting soil. Pots are conveinant incase you have to move them but are more obviously noticable.

Hey fellow auto flower growers i just started my first easyrider outdoors and and its been sprouted for 2 days. lookin good so far but my plan was to take my plant inside every night at about 6pm when the sun starts goin down so that i can kinda watch over her at night and make sure no animals or bugs get to her. I've had some animals screwing with my other plants at night. My problems is that if i bring her in at 6 and put her back out at 6 or 7 in the morning then thats 12 or 13 hours of darkness, and she only gets about 7-8 hours of Direct sunlight each day. Would this be considered good or bad for outdoor lighting times? I feel like i can never match up to all these indoor grown easyriders because i cant give her an 18/6 or 20/4 light cycle like most people here. Is it just different outdoors because the sun is stronger or what?

oh and this thread has been amazing, i've learned alot about growing. thanks everyone.

your growing out side huh. out side male would be hard to harvest the pollin. if you can grow them in doors. this way you have control of the harvest.
