Day 23 of Flowering!

Measured our plants today and our shortest one is 30" tallest is 36"! They started getting trichomes on them about a week ago, which was nice to see!

We had some slight light burn on one of our tallest girls but no real harm done. Klyde flushed the girls today.

Like Klyde told you guys last week they seem to be getting very crowded so we are going to move them on Friday. We are still waiting for the two LED's we ordered to come in and until then we can't move them. We have the space in there so were just going to put two extra trays in and give them a little more room.

Also wanted to let you guys know that our local grow shop gave us some Bloombastic to try out, it seemed to really help them along so we ordered more of it and we are gonna see if we like it through this grow. It was really expensive ($100 for 250ml) so it better be.

We got our T5 fixtures in today along with the light hangers for all of them. Everything seems to be going really well so we have some more pics for you guys to enjoy.

Always open to advice if you have any!
Thanks for reading.

Ill have to load the pics in a minute, for some reason they aren't showing up!

Thanks a lot we both really appreciate that. It was really important to us to do our homework. Klyde started taking an interest in learning more about LED's and I have really taken an interest in hash and edibles.

From the first time we started looking at this site, some of you guys have really surprised us on your level of intelligence in growing. We are so happy to have found a resource with everyone here!

Oh boy...we are both broken! We got our stuff in today (except our LED's, which come in tomorrow). Sooo....we decided to move everything out, rearrange the drip system and other lights, trim up all the plants, and tie supports for all the branches! It took 10 hours total!

I took a bunch of pics so I will post them tomorrow. But, for now...off to watch movies and relax. :weed:

This is one of the best first grows I have ever seen.. I did read through it all, except Klyde's equipment list I kinda scanned it. I can't wait to see how they yield under LED. I won't be the one to use all LED for anything right away, I have 2600w of HID in my flower room now. But for side and additional lighting I think LED would be sweet. I am still dying to see how tight and compact the nugs are, my chair is firmly planted as well.

I started in dirt, went to Aero NTF, and now I will be going back to a mix of dirt and Aero NTF for awhile before I launch my true aero system. I like the way Kilyde thinks, I think he will end up at high pressure aero too.

Thought I would share this with you guys B&K. Since 11/16/2009 my flower room has been on 12/12, lights out at night to save money. I have an hour or two a day to be in there only. I built the entire room around them, I mean drywall and everything I separated the rooms. Just unimaginable amount of work around flowering plants this WHOLE time. When I started it was my goal to fill that room and keep it filled, tonight I take down all plants and I am so relieved. I am just going to rest a couple of weeks, tweak the room right and take a break. Kind of funny how it was so important to me before to be flowering 24/7 365, now I am so looking forward to a nice rest. Minor tweaking of the room, let the plants just veg a couple more weeks screw it. So happy right now, going to turn the lights on 2 hours early tonight and harvest.. So weird, to turn the lights on early.

Edit:
By the way we are a husband and wife team too, wife doesn't do forums though. :) She just tells me they will be fine and relaxes me all the time, and does the trimming. And consumption, she does that part too. :)

Wow! Sounds like you have been busy!
Our plan will be to build 8 small closet-like separate rooms for flower and veg...once we move that is. Luckily Klyde is very handy and I can be handy too...if need be ;-) so hopefully it won't take us to long. He wants to go full aero with our grow also.

You should tell your wife to get on the forums...it would be nice to know there are other women out there. It is to bad this isn't legal so that I could find people with common interests and maybe make some actual friends. This process can be lonely, that is why I am glad that I have my Klyde to talk to about all of this and I think he would say the same.

Thank you for the compliments! I'm gonna post the rest of our pics here in a minute.

DAY 26
of Flowering

After the full flush of the plants we spent about ten hours manicuring the plants and revamping the room. During the revamp of the room we changed out almost all of the cool fluorescent tubes for warm ones. After manicuring all the plants we put them back in the room giving each plant a lot of extra space. They are now spread out to take up roughly 50sq ft instead of crammed in to 32sq ft. Tying up all of those plants was a bitch and literally took Bonnie 10 whole hours non stop. That was Day 24.

Day 25 consisted of more changes to the room, including a full clean of the nute reservoir, a full clean of all the drip lines, and hanging and adjusting the 2 new 120 watt tri spectrum LED's. We also added another 220 watt T5 HO fixture and 125 watts of additional warm CFL.

Day 26- It's about an hour before the lights come on. (For some reason our life starts and stops when those lights come on and off. Nothing really gets done before or after...lol) As of last night the plants looked awesome! We repositioned the Heppa air filters to blow across the base of all the plants, with all the manicuring Bonnie got done, they have lots of room on the bottom of each plant to breathe and with all the tying they have room to let light penetrate at all levels. The reservoir is filled and ready to water again today, this time full strength. We hope that when we update next week these things will be monsters. Enjoy the pics from the last 2 days.

Extra Note: This seems like not enough writing to sum up the full 18 hours x 2 (B&K) it took to actually do all of this so if you have any specific questions feel free to ask!
